The rest of the week was killing me and Max and certainly when it came to PSE. Mrs Penguin (such a weird name right?) seated us in our new seating plan which no one looks forward too. She starts pointing at the desks and saying then names of who sits there, 'Edward Stewart,' My ex-boyfriend sits down in his seat his hair all flat like it always has been and his arched back even more arched. Please not me, not me, not me, 'Darcy Jackson,' she points at the seat next to him. NOOOOOOOOOO!
'Well Darcy this is wonderful!' Benji a tall ginger who has recently broke his ankle is seating diagonally in front of me with Lucy sitting next to him. 'Now we just need Max and Jay!' He grins annoyingly at me. Jay, if your wondering is one of my other best friends boyfriend, Emma (who I've mentioned) is perky and funny she has fluffy blonde hair which is always in a ponytail but has a habit of taking it out and shaking it about when boys around, and her ex boyfriend who she broke up with at the end of the summer holidays, is Jay hes small and sporty with short brown hair.
But rumour has it last year when they broke up, was that Jay wanted to brake up so he could go out with me! Now I ignored it, but to Benji he always just whispers in my ear, 'Jay McLean,' and every time I look at him as if I tasted something sour. No offence to Jay he's funny and cute but you know, Max is there.
PSE is not going to be good this year, well it wasn't even good last year. Of course Amy hits the jackpot by Miss penguin running out of boys to put in between girls, she gets to sit next to Hannah Beetle one of our friends from last year.
'Ha, Darcy you always seem to pick the wrong person,' Amy laughs at me when I tell her. 'You lucky idiot, you hit the jackpot again!' I say as Amy always seems to get the good seats.
'Darcy! Darcy you need to see this!' Emma runs up to me, next to her is Cammie who is very famous in my year as the bfg as she is one of the tallest girls in the school and she's only 12. Emma and Cammie lead me through the social area and on the the big field which is now covered with people. Girls who are sitting down listening to music and boys playing football with there bags on the floor.
Cammie and Emma start walking to the bottom of the field and point at a tall figure in the middle of a year 8 football pitch trying desperately to get the ball but is failing. 'Oh, my, god, it's Max,' I say staring at the figure galloping around. 'I always thought he didn't like football as he played rugby!' I shout shocked. As I was the one of the number one girl footballers in my year when I was in primary, this really blown my mind.
Max looks over at us and winks at me. My mouth falls open as all the girls including Lucy, Lavender, Juel and May who had caught up with us, burst into giggles.
