Hello my name is Kyle and I want to tell you about the day my life changed I was staying at my aunt and uncle's house my parents died in a car crash when I was 7. Its been 7 years since that happened and now I'm a freshman in high school and I'm not the most popular kid at my school. I get made fun of for being different than everyone else.  My eyes are silver and my hair is brown.
I have about 2 friends one is a girl her name is Dakota and my second friend is Jay.  He is a bit of a trouble maker at times. Dakota is well she's nice and good looking she's not the most outgoing she's been shy ever since I've met her the only person she really talks to is me. I've liked her for a while I don't know if she likes me or not she seems to be drawn to me whenever I'm alone or not in that great of a mood.  She seems to always fill that empty space, the hole I have in my life.
After school I went home and went up to my room to go to my bed.  As I laid down I heard something in the kitchen down stairs. I sat right up and the sound happened again. There was no one home but me as my aunt and uncle wouldn't be home for a couple of hours from their jobs. I walked out of my room down the steps to see what the sound was it was a cat sitting on the counter it had knocked off a pan from the rack it was hanging on.  But as I walked into the kitchen to pick up the pan and reached down I could feel someone staring at me through the kitchen window! I picked the pan up and looked out the window.
It was Dakota looking at me. She gave me a smile and waved. Some days Dakota would follow me home to hang out with me until my aunt and uncle came home from work. It was her own little quirky thing and I liked it about her. I never felt alone walking home since I knew she was there at a distance.
I went to the front door and opened it and there she was standing there in her casual clothes blue jeans a t-shirt and running shoes.  She had a smile that could light any path but with eyes as cold as ice, yet that emitted a feeling of joy and care for certain people.  And I could tell by those eyes of hers I was one of those people. I let her in and she and I went up to my room and sat on my bed.  We watched tv for a while, played a couple of video games and after that laid down talking about our lives and how it led up to this moment.  My life story seemed dull to me, but to her it seemed very important. I never got her.  She was a confusing girl.  But that is how every girl is to me anyway.
We have been friends for about 4 years.  She was a daughter of my aunt and uncles friends and they came over many times and set up play dates for me and her.  This went on for a year until something happened with her parents and my aunt and uncle.  They got into a huge argument and that ended everything, but not our friendship. We told these stories many times but it didn't matter. Both of us thought it was a great way to pass the time and both of us loved each other stories. When my aunt and uncle came home she would leave - my least favorite part of the day. She would always make joke about me and her being in a relationship. I don't know if she was sending signals to me to about really being together.  I just couldn't tell. She would slide her hand over to where my hand was and hold it during the joke.  She would look into my eyes and I would look into hers.
But the silence was broken with her saying she had to get going.   As she walked out of the door I ran down the stairs and hugged her. We stood there, my arms wrapped around her and then she suddenly pushed me away crying.  She ran away and I ran after her but I lost her in the woods. That was the first time I gave her a hug like that.  There was so much feeling in it.
I went back to my house and closed the door I laid on my bed thinking "What have I done? Our friendship is done now".  As I laid there I started to doze off. I tried to stay awake but couldn't. I passed out and dreamt of Dakota and what had happened earlier.  But this time I followed her through the woods. I'd never been there I wasn't allowed to. It was always too dangerous but I would go if I knew it was to get my friend out of there. I was with her the whole way and then she vanished, and so did the forest.  All that was left was me and pure emptiness.
