----Le present time----

"You left me with this..this..freak! How could you?" I screamed at my parents while I pointed to the Doctor. "I--I mean we thought you would be safer with him, Alex," My mom said. Her hair was sort of red, maybe red-orange and she had a Scottish accent. "Alex, listen to us. Please," My dad said. He sounded more British. The Doctor stood there, looking a little upset if you ask me, fiddling with his bow-tie as he listened to my parents and I arguing. "Do you even know what he's done to me?" I managed to say, despite my eyes getting watery with tears. My dad was about the say something but my mom started instead, "Rory, don't make it any worse than it is."

"Amy, Rory, will you give me a minute to talk to Alex? Please?" The Doctor begged. Amy and Rory looked at each other then nodded and walked through a hall, brushing past the Doctor and I. The Doctor looked at me, straight at me. He was only a few inches taller than I was. "Alex, this is hard for you, I know. But.." His words trailed off. "I don't know what to say, really. I do know this though. You have to accept the fact that Rory and Amy are your parents."

----Years earlier----

"Doctor, open the door please!" I said, rocking back and forth on my feet. "Just a minute," he answered back. A few seconds later, the door to the blue police box opened up. "Took you long enough." I laughed and walked in. "So, are we going anywhere today?" I looked at the Doctor as he pulled a few levers on the TARDIS console. He shook his head and I sighed, leaning against the console. "Be careful where you lean." The Doctor said without looking to me. "Sorry," I stood straight. "You know, Doctor, all this time-traveling has made me really..non-social. I think we should, I don't know, stay somewhere for a while." I grinned at him as I dragged the tip of my index finger across his back. "We could. But we don't have the time, Alex."

"Buzz-kill." I said under my breath. "What did you just call me?" He looked at me, clenching a fist around a near by lever. "Um..Nothing, Doctor." I looked down and walked away, sitting against a wall. He sighed and flicked a switch then walked over to me. "Okay, maybe we can make some time to stay for a while. Where do you want to go?"
