"Just admit it Reyes, you have a crush on me!" Rixon exclaimed as I dragged him by the wrist to the gate. I didn't say anything while locking the gate. I can practically feel him roll his eyes and put his hands in his pockets behind me. "First your house, then my house. What's next," I turned around and saw him smirking at me, "you gonna seduce me or rape me?" I rolled my eyes and shook my head, holding up my hands as I walked towards him.
I really don't have a good feeling about this. My heart started thumping as I looked at him, not sure how to explain this to him. Would he believe me about the letter? Or would he just laugh at me and call me crazy? I need to do this for him. I don't want him to kill himself because of what will or might happen today... whatever that may be. I don't think my conscience can handle that.
"Look," I explained, my face serious, "I don't know how to explain it, but it's important that we go to your house right now." He quirked an eyebrow.
"Oh?" He mused. "And what's important about my house?" I closed my eyes and sighed deeply. I opened them again and grasped onto his shoulders. He was taller than me, so I had to tilt my head to look at him. I can clearly see in his expression that he was surprised by what I did.
"Please," I sighed, "just believe me. It's complicated." I bit my lip, totally unsure of what else to say. What can I say? He rolled his eyes and just shrugged.
"Whatever," he said and walked over to his bike that was parked next to the gate, "I don't think I'll ever understand you, and nor do I plan to."
I remember him being nice to me earlier, what happened to that? I felt my head hurt and closed my eyes, rubbing the space between my eyebrows. Interfering with fate and destiny and all that mumbo jumbo was stupid, so why am I doing this? Future me, why'd you write me those letters? And how'd they even get to me if they're from the future? Nothing scientific can be used to explain this, I'm sure.
"Hey," I looked up to see Rixon on his bike and patting the small space behind him on the seat, "you coming or what?" He had an irritated expression and I frowned. What happened to the Rixon who bought a little girl a balloon earlier and the one who returned my pen? I like that Rixon better.
"I'm gonna sit there?" I asked and walked towards him, pointing to the small space left on the seat.
"No, on the handlebars." He rolled his eyes.
"What if I fall?" Ugh, I wish I knew how to ride a bike. I looked down at my uniform. "I'm wearing a skirt." He groaned and rolled his eyes.
"Then just sit here how you would on a chair," he patted the space again and I climbed on with shaky legs, "just relax, I won't let you fall." I nodded and sat down next to him. It was weird, his body faced forward while mine faced sideways. I put my hands on my lap to prevent my skirt from flying up and lifted my feet off the ground. Gawd, this felt so awkward. "You'll fall if your hands are like that."
I looked up and saw him twist his body around and grab both of my hands before wrapping themselves around his waist. My eyes widened at the sudden contact but before I could say anything, he chuckled.
"There," he said and kicked off, the sudden force making me lurch forward and hit his back, my arms tightening around him, "hold on tight!" He pedalled fast and his laughter echoed in the wind. I couldn't help but laugh as well. The feeling felt nice; him pedalling like this while I sat behind him and held onto him like this.
Wait, what?
