Olivia's POV//

I opened my eyes and saw the blinding lights of the hospital room, squinting, I caught my breath and sat up straight.
My legs felt like jelly, my heart started to beat.
Where was I?
What happened?

"Miss Yates?" Came a voice as the wooden door swung open.
A tall man entered in a white coat with a large clipboard in his hands. He look concerned. He sighed deeply before frowning into his papers.
"Olivia, you have been involved in a very serious car accident. You legs are paralysed, and I'm afraid you may never walk again."
I felt like I had been  shot, my stomach sank and my head fell backwards. I couldn't remember anything.
How would I play soccer?
How would I work?

How would I see Brad?

"Also, I am terribly sorry about the passing of your mother and father, they where killed in the incident."

Before I could speak, I fainted back into my pillow.

4 days later///

"Liv! Liv babe! It's me!"
"W..what? Who?" I stuttered as I opened my eyes slowly. I thought it was just a nurse or a doctor. I was used to that by now- they'd come in, scribble something down and walk straight back out. It was like you weren't human at all.
"It's me, Brad!"
The voice was more familiar now, and as I saw much clearer, I could see his soft curls and his brown eyes looking down on me.
"Brad!" I called as he threw his arms around me.
"Liv I was so worried! Are you ok? I'm so sorry about you mum, and your dad."
I couldn't talk. I was so surprised to see him that tears just rolled down my cheeks. He was all I had left.
"Hey, Don't cry!"
He wiped his thumbs across my cheeks and pulled me back into a hug.
We stayed like this for what seemed like a lifetime, until he had to leave.

"Liv, I promise, I'm coming back, you know I always do." He whispered softly in my ear.
"But Brad you have tour, where am I supposed to go? I can't walk!" I asked unsure and scared.
"We'll sort it, don't worry , your never alone. I love you liv."

I spent the next month under constant therapy and supervision. It was hell,
I'd had fake limbs attached to my legs, and I was slowly learning to walk.
I had no visits from anyone, just doctors and the occasional other patient. I had made friends with one nurse, patsy, but aside from that my time at Oakvil Intensive Care was very lonely.
When I was finally discharged, I had the biggest shock of my life, my whole world was complete again......
