Authors Note: For lack of confusion I will refer to Jasseth as Jane until further notice
Jane POV
I make my way to the carriages. As I go to get on, I hear something. Something like a horse flaring it's nostrils. But then I hear a flapping not unlike a dragon's wings. I look around, but can't seem to find the source of the noise. It's close by though. I hear a kick in the dirt and see the imprint of a hoof left on the now upturned grass. I slowly, a bit apprehensively, stretch out my hand. I shoot it back as quickly as I outstretched it. There was something there! It's a...a...my mind races for an explanation as to what it could be. Then I remember reading about this from a book titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It's a Thestral. It can only be seen by someone who has seen death. A shiver runs down my spine as the idea engulfs my thoughts. They are instantly cleared when two girls sit next to me and say hi. Both girls had fiery red hair and green eyes. The differences were that one seemed at least a year older than the other and the younger one lacked freckles. At once they both said "Hey". "Hi" I said back. "I'm Lily. Nice to meet you" said the younger one with a very friendly tone in her voice. "I'm Granger-Weasley. Rose Granger-Weasley" said the other with a much more formal and bossy tone than the other. " I'm... Jane. Umm Jane...Marsh. Yeah Jane Marsh" The girls give a quizzical look. Lily decides to shrug it off like a snake's skin. Rose on the other hand is now looking at me with an intense sense of concentration. Shoot I say in my head. She doesn't believe me. Not that I'd expect otherwise. That introduction wasn't exactly the spot on definition of subtle. Just then, two boys appear and give us three a jump in our seats. Both tall, awkward looking boys. One has platinum blond hair that droops down shaggily down his forehead and eyes and yet seems very well groomed all at once. He's tall, lanky, and seems a little nervous at something. The other has dark hair sticking up in all sorts of odd places. He has broader shoulders and slightly shorter than the other. While the other one is so nervous that he seems to be sweating at the palms and avoiding eye contact with Rose, this one seems to be uncomfortable too and keeps shifting from side to side as if ants were crawling up his legs. We make eye contact and he gives a polite but shy smile. "Have you just ran a marathon Malfoy or do you normally sweat the amount of the Red Sea in volume? And as for you Albus, has someone planted a Fizzing Whizbee in your pants or do you always stand like a ticking time bomb?"says Rose menacingly and Lily sniggers, something that judging by her sweet tone when having talked to me
a few moments earlier, catches me off guard. Malfoy. Albus. Rose.Lily. So familiar. The thought of those names hit me like bricks. It's...th...th...them.
