Y/N whispered.
"i cant sleep."

Y/N wiped her tears from her puffy, red eyes. her eyes darted around the room, unsure where to look. Y/N sat still, laying on her stomach, flickering her eyes around the room, unable to sleep. she had been like this for the past month, it shouldnt have been a suprise to anyone now. well, apart from the rest of the world.

Y/N had been tearing for the past half hour, though she wasnt sure why. she had been thinking of calling her best friend, jimin, to help her. they had been best friends for as long as the two could remember.

jimin was there when someone was being mean to Y/N

jimin was there when Y/N was hurt, emotionally or physically

jimin was there when no one else was.

recently, Y/N had noticed a change in jimins behavior towards her. he had started becoming much more self concious, shy, and a little more dull, less bright and cheerfull.

the girl picked up her phone

"jimin-ah"
Y/N whispered,
"i cant sleep."

after a short pause, the girl heard jimin tell her it was okay, that he would be there soon. the reciever clicked, signaling the end of the call.

Y/N grabbed her pillow harder than before, and attempted to calm herself before jimin came, for she knew he would be quick.

but, jimin took a little longer than expected. he kept texting Y/N to ensure her of her well being. when he finally arrived, 5 minutes after it shouldve taken him to get to Y/N's house.

"Y/N, im here,"
jimin carried the bag he was holding to
Y/N's bedroom, dropping it when he saw her state.
"jimi-"
"Y/N, how long has it been?"

"..."

"Y/N, why did you hesitate, you know ill be here. because I love you." jimin whispered the last part, hoping that his best friend wouldnt hear it. if she found out that he liked her, their friendship probably wouldnt work out.

Y/N sniffled, not hearing the last part of jimins statement.
"what was that?"

"oh," jimin blushed and looked away."nothing. just nothing."

"no. jimin, you said something, what was it?" jimin blushed harder.

"nothing." the older said quietly

"jimin-"

"ok," Y/N was still recovering from what had previously happened,

"i said i love you"

"well then, good."

jimins face flashed confusion, then relief. she hadnt responded negativ- wait. what. she said good? did she like him back. at that moment Y/N decided to ask jimin something she had wanted to ask for quite a while now. something very important.

"jimin," he looked up, smiling, pulling Y/N into a warm embrace

"yes?" he mumbled.

"whats in the bag?"
