Dayton, Charlotte and carter were all 3 weeks old today and I was taking them to their check ups, Narvel had to work and so I had to take the triplets and Kenzie all to the doctor, as you can remember, Kenzie HATES the doctor. Lizzie still hasn't gone back to work yet so we weren't planning on seeing her.
"Kenzie? Can you help mommy today with the babies?" I asked her
She looked at me nervous. "Mommy I can't help that much" she said sadly
"Yes you can beautiful."I smiled
"I stink at being a big sister.... my mommy is super woman and I'm not a superhero at all." She crossed her arms and hung her head sadly
"Sweetheart." I said picking her up. "You are the worlds greatest big sister." I said and kissed her cheek
She wrapped her arms around my neck and laid her head on my shoulder. "You really think so?" She sniffled
"I know so beautiful." I said rubbing her back
She nodded and looked down at all the babies on the floor, they were in a row in their car seats, staring up at us. Charlotte was the only one asleep.
"Apples sleeping again." She said
I giggled and kissed her cheek. "Yes she is" I smiled
She smiled and snuggled into me
"Alright, let's get going." I smiled
She nodded and reached for the ground
I put her down and picked up the boys and brought them to the car and then picked up Charlotte and the diaper bag.
Kenzie made sure to grabbed their favorite pacifier and toys for the babies
I put Charlotte in the car and then I helped her into the car to buckle her in.
She hugged me tight
I smiled and we left
Kenzie was making sure the babies were all happy
Charlotte slept the whole time and the boys stared at her the whole time.
She made funny faces at them so they would laugh
They just smiled at her and kept staring
When we pulled into the parking lot. Kenzie started smiling and daddy saying daddy
"Honey daddy is at work" I said
"Mommy look." She said pointing to the car next to ours. It was Narvels and he was smiling at me
"What are you doing here?" I asked
"I wanted to see how they babies were getting so cute and chubby so fast. And i wanted to see you and Kenz" He smiled and pecked my lips
I kissed him back. "Well that's good because mommy has her own appointment after the babies and I had no idea how I was going to take 4 kids into the appointment." I said
"I can take them." He smiled
"Okay" I nodded
He got the boys car seats. I got Charlottes and the baby bag. Kenzie held my hand
I smiled and we walked right on in, we got a room right away and I placed the babies on the floor, Kenzie sat in Narvels lap and I unbuckled all the babies
She was playing on Narvels phone
I smiled at her and how cute and helpful she was
"Daddy look." She said pointing to the screen
"Good job baby! You picked the right shapes!" He smiled
She giggled and smiled. She was so proud of her self
I smiled at her and rocked the babies with my feet
Dayton wanted me and started
To fuss
I picked him up and pulled him close to me, I laid him on chest and kissed his head rubbing his back shhhing him soothingly
He snuggled into me
I smiled and soothed him
"Mommy?" Kenzie asked
"Yes baby girl?" I said
"Hungry." Said

I looked at Narvel, we weren't going to be out of here for about a good 1 1/2.
"Are there any snacks in the baby bag." He mouth
"Baby snacks.... like breast milk" she mouthed back
"Baby." He said
"What?" I said
"What do we do?" He asked
I sighed I have been under so much stress and overwhelmed these last 3 weeks. I closed my eyes. "Just...take her to the vending machine in the hall or something." Indajd
Kenzie saw her favorite cup in the diaper bag and reached got down for it. Narvel handed it to her and it was full of her apple juice.
"Kenzie? Did you put that in there?" I asked her
She nodded as she drank it
I kissed her head and smiled
She giggled and the doctor knocked on the door
"Come on in, join the party" I smiled
"Why hello everyone!" She smiled
I smiled at her and the babies were starting to all get fussy and Kenzie was smiling and waving at the doctor. "Hi, nice to see you" Reba smiled swaying Daxton and carter now.
She giggled and smiled at the doctor
"Alright, let's start with Charlotte because she seems to be the calmer out of the 3" the doctor smile
"Good idea." Kenzie said
The doctor smiled and she had me put Charlotte down, I switched babies with Narvel, so I picked up Kenzie and gave her my phone and he took the boys.
"Yay!" Kenzie smiled
I smiled and kissed her
She giggled and kissed me back
I smiled and looked at the doctor, she was measuring her, and weighing her. Charlotte was still fussy a little bit, especially when the doctor put the cold stethoscope on her.
"It's okay sweet baby." I soothed and kissed her head
She was fussing pretty bad and she was not liking this visit. "So she is back to her original weight, and she has grown about an inch. We aren't doing an Immunizations this time, next time will be the big one." She said
"What are the side effects of the shots? How many and what are they?" I asked
"We will talk all about them at the next appointment, don't you worry." She said picking up Charlotte
"Okay." I nodded my head
She handed me Charlotte and she took both the boys, she did the same to them and then after about 45 minutes, Narvel was getting ready to take the kids home, I still had my appointments.
"Babe I wanna come with you." Narvel said. Mama was still living with us
"Honey I'm fine... really, it will be a quick 20 minutes and then I'll be home." I said
"Baby you need me." I said
"Babe, look at me. Kenzie is crying and screaming in the car right now. The babies are all not happy. It's going to take you 20 minutes to get home, that would mean 20 minutes till my mom got here and 40 minutes till the kids got lunch." I said
"Please keep me updated."
He said and pecked my lips. We switched car and we took the kids home
I went back inside and waited for my appointment, they asked me lots of questions and checked how I was doing.
"I'm doing great!" I smiled
"Well that's good that you feel that way.... but, according to this ultrasound and some of the tests we've gotten back.... we are pretty sure you have either internal bleeding or a blood clot from when you had the babies." She said
"I do?" I said scared. Narvel sent me a pictures of all of the kids sleeping in my bed. It was so cute
I smiled looking down at it and said "❤️ them" back and then put my phone away. "Yes... you do, so we are going to keep you over night because the worst one would this. Your appendix from the ultrasound, looks like it's going to pop at any second. So we want to do surgery on you and check for internal bleeding and blood clots." She said
"There is no way that is possible. I have been feeling great. I have four very young kids to mother." I said
"Reba this is not about your young kids right now. This about you and your life that is at risk... we need to admit you as soon as physically possible." She said
"Okay. I just need to call my husband." I said picking up my phone
"Okay" she nodded
"Babe?" I called him
"You on your way home?" He smiled
"I wish sweetie." I said
"Almost? Are they running tests?" He asked
"The results are in and I have to get my appendix out right now." I said
"Okay that's good.... wait what?!" He said
"Apparently it could exploded anytime now and it it does. I might not make it." I said getting emotional
"Baby... breath, everything is going to be just fine. I promise. Do you want me to come?" He asked
"What about the kids." I whimpered
"My mama is there isn't she?" I said
"She is." I said
"Have her watch them babies if you want to come." I said
"Go, I got them." I heard mama said
"I didn't pump though" I said starting to worry
"How many bottles do you have." I said
She checked the freezer "two" she said
"That's it?!" I panicked
"Yeah.... I'll just give them formula." She said
"No no no." I said
"Honey, its fine." She said
"No it's not." I said
"Why not?" She said
"They are too young." I said
She sighed, she didn't know what to do
"But it's our only option." I said
"I'll figure something out...." she said
"Mama it's okay. Use it." I said
"No it's fine, I don't want to put them on it when they are to young and won't want your breast milk the next time you give it to them, or at least try to" he said

"What do we do?" I asked scared
"Honey, just worry about you, I've got the kids." She said
"I can't. I'm a mama." I said
"So am I, I'm so worried about you but your kiddos need someone" she said
"I know you are mama and thank you so much." I said
"I love you so much, I'm sure Lizzie wounding mind pumping some for them?" She said
"I love you too mama." I said
We hung up and Narvel came to the hospital, mama noticed I didn't say anything about Lizzie so she called Lizzie.
"Hello?" Lizzie answered
"Hey Lizzie.... its Jackie." She said
"Hey Jackie! How are you?" She asked
"I'm great! I need a huge huge favor." She said
"What's up?" She asked
"Can you maybe pump a few bottles and bring them over....? Reba is in the hospital and only has 2 pre pumped bottles in the fridge." She said
"Oh my gosh! Is everything okay?" She asked
"Yeah.... I don't think she wanted me to be telling you... you guys have some stuff going on between you she told me?" She said
"Were just both incredibly busy now the babies are here
"I think that.... maybe I shouldn't say anything." She said
"Say what?" I asked
"I just think Reba might be a little upset and overwhelmed right now.... she just, she misses you." She sighed
"I miss her too." She said
Jackie nodded and looked down at her phone, the other line was ringing, it was me. "Lizzie I'll call you right back." She said and hung up answering me. "Hey mama, so I guess they read the wrong chart? So I'm on my way home and Narvel is turning around to come back." I said
"Oh sweetheart! That's terrific! I'm so relived. All the babies are still asleep." She smile sbug

"Great! I'll be home in 10 minutes!" She smiled
"Okay I love you." She said
"Love you too" she said and hung up, Jackie called Lizzie back.
"Hi Jackie." She smiled
"Hey, so scratch that favor, they read the wrong chart so Reba is on her way home" she said
"Thats great!" She smiled
"Yeah!" Jackie said and there was an awkward silence. "So... you told Reba you never wanted to see her again.... at that baby class.... that she got more attention than you did and you were jealous and upset..... am I wrong?" She said
All of a sudden the line went dies

Jackie held her phone out in front of her and sighed. 10 minutes later I walked in the door, I had no smile and I looked like I had been crying.
"Baby? What's wrong?" Mama asked me
"Lizzie texted me... she told me that she was blocking me from all social media, blocking my number and she was getting a new number. They were going to move because they didn't want to live close to us." Reba said upset. "She hates me because I stood up for myself and my babies." I whimpered
"Oh my god. That's so so awful of her. I can't believe she would be so caddy." Mama said
I sat down at the island. "I feel like I'm breaking in two.... I told her everything. She was my person." I said
"Baby come here." She pulled me close and kissed my head
I held her tight and whimpered and Narvel walked in, I smiled a little and took a deep breath. The babies are all that mattered. And if Kenzie was happy.
"Hi beautiful." He kissed me
"Hey" I smiled and I wasn't going to say anything to him about the whole situation.
