"Nadia get ready for your last day of school!" My sister, Cecila, yelled through my locked door. I opened my eyes slowly. I looked up from my bed and dreaded the sight. I had boxes piled up everywhere. I sighed and went into my bathroom to take a shower. I used my lavender scented shampoo and conditioner then used my rose scented soap. I didn't want to get out of the hot water. I groaned and turned off the water. I then put on the clothes I picked out for my last day ^.
After getting all ready and applying my makeup I went down the familiar stairs of the house I would be leaving. "I you made some waffles and coffee." I smiled at her and took my plate from her. "Thank you, Sissy." I told her. She smiled at me in response. "I can't believe we're leaving today." I thought aloud. "Yeah. I'm gonna miss this place." My Sis grinned. I knew she was happy about moving.
Finally after finishing my waffles I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. I walked down the familiar streets, passing by my neighbors houses. I looked down and put on my head phones. The song She Looks So Pretty by 5SOS came on. I hummed to it.
I soon made it to my high school. This was one good thing I wouldn't miss. This thing called Austin Moore High school. I walked through the doors to see my best friends Erica and Ally. I guess you could say us three were the popular girls but we don't exactly flaunt it.
Erica turned around and waved at me. She then looked at my outfit and frowned. "What are you wearing, Nadia?" She asked. "I wanted to be comfortable for the drive to Colorado." I said softly. "Um.. Ok." She said with disgust. It hurt me a little but I got over it. I can't dwell on these things. She's just trying to be a good friend. Ally then turned around. Me and Ally were pretty tight. Tears pricked her and my eyes. We hugged each other. "Omg! I'm gonna miss you so much girl!" She said. "Me too." We continued hugging until we heard a throat clear.
We turned to look at Erica who was standing next to a girl who I think was named Katelyn. "Girls this is Katelyn. She's going to take Nadia's spot when you leave. So she'll be eating lunch with us." Erica said with a monotone voice. Katelyn smirked at me and then did a small wave. I frowned. It hurt my feelings that she replaced me so fast. Ally looked at me with a sad face. I smiled weekly at her. Soon the bell rang and we were off to our classes.
Lunch wasn't all that good. Katelyn and Erica basically talked about the new Kylie Jenner make up products the whole time. I don't have a good feeling about this Katelyn girl. "Hey, Nadia, who's your guy?" Katelyn asked with a smirk. I shrugged. "Don't really have one." I told her. "Makes sense." My eyes widened. "What?" I asked her. "I mean it makes sense. You dated Julian didn't you? I mean nobody would want you after you dated the water boy." She explained. "But that was freshmen year before football started. I didn't know." I said. "Still though." She said. I looked down and nibbled on the horrible lunch the school gave us.
By the end of the school day I was annoyed with Katelyn. She's just so mean! That dang Colorado is the reason of all this! The bell rang and I met Erica and Ally outside the school were we usually meet. Katelyn was already there. I grumbled quietly so no one could hear me.
Ally ran up to me and hugged me. "I'm going to miss you so much!" I hugged back. "Me too." I told her. "That Katelyn girl will never replace you. She's rude too." I chuckled through the tears making an appearance. "Call me everyday, ok?" She pulled back. I nodded.
I heard a honk then turned around. It was my mom. I hugged Ally one last time before wiping my tears away and getting in the car. "I'm sorry, Sis. I know this is hard." I nodded. "Who's the new girl you guys were hanging out with?" My sister asked me. "Katelyn." I spit out her name like there was a bad taste in my mouth. "Oh. Good thing you don't have to deal with her. I can tell you don't like her." She said. I nodded.
My sister is like my mom. She has been since dad left us and my mom goes to get drunk every night. My sister is twenty five and raised up enough money to get away from my mom. We weren't going to make a stop home. My mom was always home at this time of day and I knew my sister couldn't deal with her. I decided to shut my eyes and take a nap.
Next thing I knew I was being shaken awake. "Mm?" I groaned. "We're at McDonalds." Cecila said softly. I got up and unbuckled my seat belt. It was dark out. We walked up to the McDonalds glass door and opened it. I went and sat down while my sister ordered. I pulled out my phone and checked my snap chat and Instagram. I took a selfie then put on the location filter on snapchat. I then posted it.
Cecila finally came back with our food and we dug in. "So your starting at your new school on Monday." My sister informed me. I groaned. "I don't want to." I said my mouth full. She chuckled.
After we were finished we went back into the car to finish our journey to Colorado from my home flat old Dallas Texas. You'd think we're all country people but Dallas is like New York City. Big, Has getto places, and has idiots that don't care about a single thing.
I napped until we were about twenty minutes away. When I woke up it was still dark but you could see the beautiful mountains. "Omg! It's so beautiful!" I shouted. "Yeah, I know." Cecila yawned. I chuckled.
Finally we made it to the new house we would be moving in. It was atop a hill. I smiled at it as we were driving up the hill. Then I frowned remembering we are not staying here for vacation were staying here for the rest of my senior year. The thoughts of Katelyn at school made my blood boil. "I'm going to hate this school." I told myself. "It's probably going to be worse then my old school." I thought.
My sister groaned as we made it I into our new driveway. "So tired." She mumbled. "Let's just unpack and get this over with." I snapped. She looked at me annoyed. I rolled my eyes. I grabbed my backpack and suitcase then went inside. The moving truck should be here by four in the afternoon.
I pulled out the key and unlocked the door. I opened it and turned on the lights to find a hallway leading to the living room which was connected to a kitchen. I looked to the left and saw a study. Then I looked to the right to see a staircase. I started climbing up it. I turned on a light to find a open space with a media room on the right and a hallway on the left.
I walked down the hallway. There were three doors on the left then four doors on the right. I opened the first door on the left to find a big open room. It looked like a master bedroom. I then opened the first door on the right to see a room that looked like another study. The second and third rooms on the left were all bedrooms. On the right there was a study, a closet, a guest bedroom, and a guest bathroom. The master bedroom and the other bedrooms all had there own bathrooms.
I put my stuff down in the master bedroom and ran to ask my sister if I could have it. I ran down the stairs and into the living room to find my sister eating a bowl of Chinese on a box. "Can I have the master bedroom and when did you get Chinese?" I swallowed what she was eating then said. "Yes and around one thirty am." She told me. I pulled my hand down and yelled. "Yes!" I heard her chuckle at me. I ran back up stairs and sprawled out on the floor of my new bedroom. I was no where near tired being that I just slept for most of the car ride.
I pulled out my headphones and iPod then started listening to some music. I went online to my new school's website and looked at the school supplies. My old school was the only school that didn't need any school supplies. I needed three journals, some pencils, two text books, and a pair of gym clothes. I then pulled out a piece of paper and a pen from my backpack and started writing down a list of things I needed to buy for school. I then got my computer and started searching up bedroom ideas.
After about an hour I walked out of my room and looked for my sister downstairs. I saw her Chinese bowl still on the box she was using as a table. "She must have gone to bed." I thought.
