Draco Malfoy's voice boomed through the manor, echoing down the hallways and bouncing off the walls. He was smirking as he entered the vast drawing room, scratching his head and stroking his beard in a faux puzzlement as he walked slowly around the room in search of his son, pretending that he couldn't hear him giggling from behind the curtains.

"Where on earth could Julian be?" He whispered to himself through a knowing smile as he crouched to his knees and peered beneath table cloths and other items of furniture. "Perhaps he's...ah! Behind one of the sofas!" Draco threw himself onto a nearby sofa and peered behind it.

As expected, the boy wasn't there.

Another burst of  muffled laughter erupted from behind the curtains, but Draco didn't even glance in its direction.

"Oh." He frowned, feigning a disappointed sigh as he moved away from the sofa and folded his arms. "Well if he's not in here, where else could he be? I've checked the dining room and I've checked the study and the library, I've searched the entire manor and I still can't find him."

More giggling.

"Jules, you can come out now. You're just too good at this!" Surrendered Draco.

There was a flash of platinum and Draco spun around on his heel, acting surprised at the little face that popped out from behind the velvet curtains.

"I'm here, silly!" Exclaimed Julian, his smile lighting up his chocolate brown eyes.

"Ah, there you are!" Draco growled playfully as he lunged for the boy and scooped him up into his arms before swinging him up into the air. Julian squealed with delight, loving every minute of it.

"You need some glasses, daddy. Like uncle Harry." Jules told Draco, circling his eyes with his fingers.

"No thanks, Glasses are for twa—" Draco caught himself before he could say the word. "Silly billies."

"Uncle Harry not a silly billy!"

"Do you think so? Well, everyone has their own opinions I guess." Draco said, "Now, your mum will likely be home soon so how about we get started on that pumpkin in the kitchen. Does that sound like a good plan?"

"Yeah and we can go trick and treating later?" Jules beamed.

"Hmmmn, only if you can make this shot." Draco held out his hand for a high five, but just as his son was about to hit it, he moved it abruptly away. "Ah, you missed. Sorry, no trick or treating for you."
