Chapter 1

"Tutoring"

Eren's POV:

"Eren, your grades are worse than the eyebrow jokes people have been making about me."

Well isn't that nice to hear? My principal, Erwin Smith, pulled me out of P.E., the one class I actually liked, to tell me the obvious. No wonder no one respects him and his eyebrows.

"Please don't get my mom on the phone. Remember at happened the last time?" I begged, knowing that he probably already contacted her.

"Oh I'm sure she already knows." My principal smirked. Damn him!

"Gosh darn!" I swore, almost laughing at myself for that. Erwin chuckled.

"I, along with the rest of the staff, know how colorful your language is, Eren, there's no need to hide that." He said, grinning.

"Oh right, okay. I just don't want my mom to walk in and shove a bar of soap down my throat for saying something she doesn't want to hear. Speaking of such, you have to bribe my teachers so that everyone wins. I get good grades, they no longer have to deal with me. It's all fair." I said, somehow hoping he would buy my stupidity.

"No, Eren. That's not how school works. Tell you what, I know a great student that would be willing to tutor you in case you actually do the work but don't know how to do it. If you are able to do better with the homework assignments you're given, from this moment forward, I will have your teachers throw away your other homework F's and replace them with A's. As for tests, that's something I can't help you with." Erwin says, picking up a few pieces of paper and straightened them evenly. I groaned.

"Seriously?!" I asked. Erwin nodded.

"Hey, it's either that or you fail completely. What's it gonna be, Jaeger?" He asked.

I growled, crossing my arms like a stubborn little kid. I didn't want to miss the opportunity and have my mom on my ass, nor did I want to do homework at all. I sighed, going with the only option that will "benefit" my gpa ever getting back to being a whole number.

"Fine, fine. I'll do the freaking tutor session and the homework." I huffed, sinking into my seat and glared at Mr. Smith. He smiled.

"Great. I'll have that student help you right away. Be prepared to come right after school into the library." He said, dismissing me. I rolled my eyes.

I rose up from my seat and hurried over to the gym which wasn't a smart idea since school was going to be in a few minutes before the end of the day, also by the fact that no one was in there.

After school, I grabbed all my textbooks because my teachers wanted to be cruel and assign me homework. This place is a slaughterhouse. Slaughtering my imagination by putting a book and a pencil in front of me.

Like Erwin instructed, I walked down to the library which was very difficult because my textbooks were super thick. Mikasa tried to help me but I showed her away. Somehow I don't think she took what I said seriously and followed me all the way here instead.

I could sense her behind me. I was kind of afraid to turn around because when she's pissed, there's no doubt that someone's going to die right then and there. Which is usually me.

I walk into the library and look around, not entirely sure who I'm looking for because eyebrows wasn't very specific. Then I see a sign somewhat far away that had my name on it, so I assumed it was for me. Wait, no, I knew it was.
