*Narrator*
Being the youngest sister of five brothers and two sisters, isn't easy. You have a wild imagination when you're kid, you want to be a pretty princess, then a ninja princess. After, you go through a depression stage where only one person understands you and you lose all your friends but that one or two. Finally the depression is tolerable and you pick up the broken pieces of yourself. One by one you become happy again, you realize that you never lost your friends they just made new friends but they will always be there for you.
Well something like that, there's a story about a girl who was the youngest sister. She wrote the story knowing what she wanted to achieve in life, but this was a story about her. Her life took a turn for both the worst and the best.
Once Upon A Switch...
*Alice*
"Ma, have you seen my shoe!"
"No dear, have you checked in the broom cabinet?"
Oh there it is. "Found it!"
"Now hurry along Alice or you'll be late!"
"Ok ma, I'll be back before supper tomorrow, with loads of coins!"
*Narrator*
Alice is a commoner whom loves her family very much! Currently she is heading to the market by the castle to sell some of her families goods. Let's take a look at our princesses life!
*Ella*
"It's time to wake up Ella."
"Father, why do I have to get up it is not even noon!"
"Oh but it is a new day, so get up and get dressed we are going to the market!"
"But father that is not a place for a king to be.. Or a princess!"
"But Ella, we will not be the king or princess while we are at the market."
"What do you mean?"
"Well my darling, you will be a commoner just like the rest! Now get dressed."
*Narrator*
Ella's father loves to sneak out of the castle when he has a lot of work to do!
Later at the market.
*Ella*
"Where are we even going?"
"A place that sells the best bread in the whole country!"
"Who is that father?"
"That my dear is a girl who looks exactly like you! But she is older."
"Father, what is the real reason you brought me here?"
"You and her are going to change places for one month!"
*Narrator*
With wide eyes Ella had nothing more to say! Though the other girl had a bit to say when she overheard the Kings conversation with his daughter.
*Alice*
"Excuse me sir, I don't mean to interrupt your conversation but were you talking about me?"
"Oh, yes my dear I was."
"What do you mean change places?"
"Well, I mean my daughter will learn to live like a commoner, and you my darling will fill in for her as princess!"
"Wait, I don't have the right to be a princess I am but a mere peasant of this kingdom!"
"I have heard many things about you! You are very well qualified especially since you've kept your family alive with all that you do for them, though you are the youngest of 8 siblings including you, yourself!"
*Narrator*
Alice, Ella, and the king all rode on a wagon to Alice's home.
*Alice*
"Ma! Come outside, quick!"
"You came back quite early, Alice is something wron..." Pausing Alice's mom realized something weird and out of place. "Your majesty!"
The King looked at Alice and her mother surprised, "Hello ma'am, I am here on important business."
"Sure... 'Important' right." Ella added with a nasty, spoiled attitude.
Glancing over at his daughter the King continued, "I would like to switch daughters for a month. To show my daughter what she has that others don't!"
"If it's ok with you ma then I will go." Alice spoke to her mother.
Alice's mother agreed on one condition, "The princess would have to do chores if she stays with me."
"Deal!" The King said.
*Narrator*
The ride back to the castle was long. The entire ride Alice looked out the wagons window, watching the scenery fly by.
*Ella*
"Ella you may rest for tonight but tomorrow I will be waking you bright and early!"
"Yep, goodnight!"
*Alice*
"Alice you can rest for tonight but tomorrow you have school!"
"Ok, sir, I will be up and ready by the time you come get me!"
*Narrator*
Alice is a sweet girl and she respects her peers, she never wants to hurt someone the way her father hurt her mother, when he left. Ella on the other hand, has never had a mother to show her right from wrong so she doesn't care who she hurts, as long as she is happy!
