Any moment Charlie could show up and kill me if he knew I was hear. The voices of the evil ones grew louder. My heart raced. My head hurt being near such evil beings I heard a door slam a little ways down the corridor. My heart jumped and I plastered myself against the wall. "Calm down Graylee" I thought as my breath quickened. "She's got to be here" a voice boomed. My heart stop. They know I'm here. "Hernandez, sir we've searched the grounds four times she not here" a another voice said. "Did you search the building" Hernandez's voice asked. There was a pause. "Well" he boomed. "N-n-no Sir we thought there was no way she should would be in here. She can't get near us in our nest. It will make her sick" the younger sounding voice said. "Fools, Do think she wouldn't risk that to get one of us. They need our information." Hernandez screamed. I then heard a scream coming from the young boy. Then a thud. "Y-y-you k-k-killed Tony" a girl said. "And one of you will be next if you don't find her fools" Hernandez yelled and the door slammed shut. I knew Hernandez was a ruthless vampire but to kill one of your own... That was pure evil. "How could he do that" the girl cried. "I smell her" another boy hissed. I heard his footsteps coming my way. I sucked in my breath. "Leave her" the girl yelled. "What" the boy said. "She's not worth it. He's just going to either kill or torture one of us any way." The girl cried. The boy didn't say anything. Another one spoke up. "I'm going to go with her. She wants information that's what she'll get. Hernandez will pay for killing my Tony" his voice broke. "Sasha, don't be stupid" the other boy said. "He killed my Tony. My only love. I will not sit aside and let that go." Sasha yelled. "Go, we will give him a real burial Be safe Sasha" the girl said. I heard the rest of the footsteps retreat. "Hello, Graylee. I'm Sasha Antonio. Please show yourself." He said. I took a breath in, gripped my blade and stepped out into the hallway. I was meet with a young boy. He was between 16 and 18. How long he had been that old I didn't know. He had slicked back brown hair with dark brown eyes. "This better not be a trick." I hissed. I felt bad for treating him like this. He looked broken, defeated and lost. But I was taught to never show empathy when arresting evil creatures. "No tricks. I promise." He said. Next thing I know he was beside me. I quickly waved my hands over his and the cuffs appeared. I placed my hand on his broad shoulders and we evaporated into headquarters. The place was busy with people running to meetings, watching the areas and just doing anything to keep the peace. "Come with me" I said. He nodded. I was about to take him to booking when I heard Charlie's voice. "Graylee, whose your new friend" he said. "Charlie, I have to take him to booking I'll explain later." I said. He gave me a look that said otherwise. "Please" I said. He sighed. "I'll come with you" he said. I nodded. At least I would get to carry this out. We then all walked up to the giant station where creatures were booked everyday. "Hello" a woman smiled. She was young, not was young as me, but still young. "I've got a voluntary information arrest" I said. Charlie gave me a sideways look. "Okay, state your name please" she said turning to Sasha. "Sasha Manuel Antonio" he said. She nodded. "Alright I know I need your age, creature status and tribe" she said. "I'm 17, and a Vampire under Hernandez Jesús" he said. Charlie glared at me. She nodded then turned to me."Would like to interview him now" she asked. "He's had a hard day. Let him rest" I said. She nodded. "Okay Sasha, I'll just need you to sign this form saying you we're a voluntary information arrest and then we will print you and the send you off to rest." She smiled and handed him a pen and click board. He nodded he quickly signed his named and was printed and they lead him threw to rest. "Okay, explain" Charlie said folding his arms over his chest. Charlie was a muscular middle age man. His brown hair had steaks of grey and his green eyes showed wisdom. "Charlie listen, I know that the Hernandez unit is hard but I'm fine" I said. "Graylee the Hernandez unit is the top of the top of vampire units in the area. Why the hell did you think it was a good idea to go there." He said. "I was listening on the wires and that they were working a trade deal with the Old Time unit their defenses were down and all Hernandez's good men were out requiring debts." I said. "You and those wires will be the death of me. If you ever do that again I'll kill you" he said. I nodded. "He killed one of his own, Hernandez I mean. It was Sasha's boyfriend" I said. "Hernandez is ruthless I've seen him kill off entire groups of saplings because he was bored" Charlie said. I shivered at the thought. "I'm sorry" I said. Charlie laid a hand on my shoulder. "It's fine just don't do it again. Go get some rest. You look weak from being near vamps." He smiled. I nodded. He smiled again and walked off. I sighed and walked off to my room.
My room was spinning by the time I'd made it there. My head was pulsing and pounding. I felt like I was gonna puke. I shrugged off my black coat and hung it up. I kicked off my boots. I grabbed some aspirins and staggered to bed. My vision started to blur. I just made it to my bed before I passed out.
