"Everybody have a seat." Aaron said sternly. The whole team nodded, sitting around the table.
"Why?" asked Morgan. "What's going on? Everything alright?"
Aaron sighed before speaking. "Seven months ago, I made a decision that affected this team. As you all know, Emily had lost a lot of blood after her fight with Doyle. But the Doctors were able to stabilise her." everyone looked up at Aaron. "And she was airlifted from Boston to an undercover exploration. Her identity was strictly need-to-know. And she stayed there until she was well enough to travel. She was reassigned to Paris where she was given several identities, none of which we had access to, for her security." Aaron said.
"She's alive?" Garcia gasped.
You just stared at Aaron, Emily was alive. All this grieving you had done, all this pain you had felt. Everything that happened, and she was alive.
"But we buried her." Spencer broke the deadly silence."As I said, I take full responsibility for the decision. If anyone has any issues, they should be directed toward me." Aaron nodded.
"Any issues?" Derek repeated. "Yeah I got issues!"
But before he could finish, heads turned as we heard footsteps approach the door.
Emily stood in the doorway, dressed in all black and holding a brown, leather bag. She looked around the room and met your eyes. You quickly darted them to the table. You were so angry with her. You could've been told. Aaron knows you'd have said nothing. You wouldn't mind not seeing her, just knowing she was alive, was enough.
"Oh my god." Garcia gasped.Shock printed on everyone's face. Emily was indeed, alive.
She hugged Spencer and held Garcia's hand.
"I am so sorry, I really am. Not a day went by when I didn't wanna-" she stopped as she looked over at Derek, who was still shocked by the news.
"Really I-" she began again, as she approached him. "You didn't deserve that."
"And I'm so sorry." she sighed, hugging him. At first he didn't hug her back, but eventually he placed his arms around her.
Emily then turned to David, hugging him too. Eventually, turning to you.
"Y/N." she said, your name falling smoothly through her lips. You couldn't take it. You got up and stormed out the room, pulling your arm from Spencer's grasp. You stormed to your office, slamming the door behind you.
"Give her some time, Emily. We must go over this." Aaron sighed. In your office you were pacing. Do you forgive her? She could've sent one text, called once, even sent you a letter. Anything would be better than nothing. Even a rumour, would've been better then what they'd been told.
You wanted so badly to forgive her, but you knew it'd tear you apart. What if she actually died this time? Would you believe her? It'd mess with you more than it did the first time. In pure distress and anger, you threw the items on your desk to the floor. You ran your fingers through your hair as you attempted to control yourself.Back in the room, Aaron and David approached Morgan and Emily.
"Where is Y/N?" Aaron asked.
"I am unsure, her office probably?" Morgan shrugged. Aaron sighed gesturing for them to follow. They knocked on your office door, waiting for a response.
"Leave me be." you sighed.
"Please let us in." Emily pleaded.
"I want nothing more to do with you." you said picking up the picture frame from the floor. Emily gulped.
"Do they know?" she asked.
"No. They don't." you sighed.
"Know what?" Morgan asked. "Did you know she was alive too?" his voice raising.
"No!" you shouted.
"Then what don't we know?" Aaron raised his eyebrows.
Emily sighed. "Me and Y/N have been seeing each other."
Derek, David and Aaron stood there shocked.
"We didn't know." David frowned.
"Well, now you do." you sighed, opening the door to reveal and slightly trashed office. "I'm cleaning it, don't worry."
"We need to talk." Emily entered your office, shutting the door behind her.
"Yeah we do." you nodded.
"I'm sorry Y/N. Do you think I wanted to hide it?" she asked.
"A letter, a text, a call, a rumour! Emily! Anything!" you shouted. "I could've used anything!"
"All I can say is I'm sorry Y/N." she sighed.
"Well maybe I'm sorry, Emily." you cried. "Because maybe this time, that is just not enough."Emily felt her heart drop. "What are you saying?" she asked.
"That maybe it's too late. Maybe we need some-" you began to choke on tears.
"Maybe what Y/N?" she asked.
"Maybe we need some time apart." you wiped your tears.
"Are you being serious?" she asked.
"Yes. I'd like to be left alone now." you nodded.
"Y/N, please. This wasn't my fault." she begged.
"And it's mine? No. Leave." you raised your voice.
"Y/N." she choked on tears.
"Please, go." you rested your head on your desk to cry.
And with that, Emily left your office.
