Homecoming week which means it's gonna be a laid back week.
Our homecoming theme this year is Disney, cliché, I know.. But kinda cute!
MONDAY- Redneck Day
TUESDAY- Decade Day
WEDNESDAY- Put Hartselle to Sleep (Pajama Day)
THURSDAY- Make Hartselle Dizzy With Disney (Disney Character Day)
FRIDAY- Spirit Day

I didn't exactly have my usual redneck attire to wear yesterday, so here I am on Tuesday dressed as Hatchet Face from the movie, Crybaby, in memory of Kim McGuirre who passed away a couple of days ago. Such a character she was! Ya know what really bothered me? ... The fact that many people pointed out that I'm muslim. Although I am not a muslim, I was very irritated at the fact that many were offended by me covering up rather than the guy who wore a crop top and booty shorts yesterday. Not only did this show me that many are uneducated, but it shows what society we live in. It really scares me thinking about what would happen if there was a muslim girl walking down our hallways.. People are so ignorant and sinister. I understand we live in a bible belt state, but that gives us no reason to hurt another because of their beliefs!
Besides being pegged at, my day was going pretty well. Walking towards the cafeteria for lunch, talking to Mk about the homecoming game, and laying eyes on none other than Gerard.. We made eye contact and smiled, "No way! Let me guess! That axe face gal from that movie with Johnny Depp!" I laughed and said, "Better guess than anyone else! But yes, I'm dressed as Hatchet Face", he chuckled and continued to smile. I started making my way to catch up with Mk when he walked beside me, "You're cake girl, right?", he smirked. "Yeppers, that'd be me.." I replied while trying to keep my blood anywhere else besides my cheeks, sadly my body betrayed me! "Ger! Come on man!" "Well, I guess I'll go..", he said as we paused. We were parting ways when I heard, "BY THE WAY AXEFACE! YOUR CAKE WAS DELICIOUS!", he yelled and even threw in a wink! Okay, now my whole body and mind was in flutters... Geez, I really need to stop getting panty twisted over the small things! I'm pretty sure it's not good for my health.

Man, now I want orchids in my life thanks to the movie The Perfect Man starring Hillary Duff. Although I never really admit, I really am a softy for sappy love movies. When I babble on about the latest werewolf book I'm reading or my desire to go to Italy to write letters to Juliet, my mom gets a bit annoyed. I feel like a disappointment since I have never had a boyfriend or any interest (that she knows) in one. "Where are we going to eat at?" "The Racho in Muscle Shoals, they always have eye candy there!" I groaned and complained, because I.. Well they aren't really my type. Gerard is my type... "Why do you always act like you're not interested? When are you ever going to be interested?!" "When God puts the right one in my life..", she's already heard of my future as a nun. "I'm glad you're not opening for every guy you see, but I just wish you would stop reading about all these unrealistic fantasies and go into the real world.." Wow, that stung a bit. See, this is why I like those werewolf stories. The thought of having a mate destined for you, someone who will stick with you and fight for you... That's what I want. Sometimes I wish those watched that counted down the days till you meet your soulmate were real! It would kinda help my doubt.

Sleep was not taking over, nor was it gonna be peaceful. I lied awake at 1:14 a.m. reading a story about a girl who doubted she had a mate, but she did and he wasn't gonna let her go that easy. So, through all the stubborness and bitterness, she finally opened up and trusted him. But sadly... It all ended with an author note about how the author has to delete her story because there were no readers or views... UMM. HELLO!! WHAT AM I!?! Of course I groaned and screamed in my pillow. Shutting my phone off, I finally tried to get some rest since I knew I had a lot to do tomorrow.
