I could feel the blood boiling in my veins. I was mad. Scratch that. I was furious, and a little sad as well. The love of my life, at least I thought he was, rejected me asking him to homecoming. I know it's unusual for the girl to ask the guy, but I am all about women empowerment.

His name is Kaden. He has the prettiest blue eyes, like the bluest water in the brightest sea. His braces are as black as my soul and his heart is as big as Donald Trump's ego. I love him, but he doesn't love me back.

My name is Riya Aggarwal, and I just realized I was forever alone. Nobody would ever love me.  Every guy that I have asked out has rejected me.  I really didn't know what to do. All of a sudden, a wave of enthusiasm came over me, and I thought, I will get a boyfriend, even if I have to commit murder to do so.

I was desperate and alone, but I was determined. I remembered a boy named Thomas. Good lord, he was pretty. I knew I had a chance with him. He was single at the moment. I knew where his locker was and I walked up to him. "Hey Thomas!" I had said with way too much excitement. Maybe he'll think I'm weird, I thought.  It's better I stay calm.

"Uh, hey Riya." It was obvious he wasn't interested, but I pursued him anyway. "Do you want to go to homecoming with me?" I asked.

"Um, no thanks," Thomas said and he started to walk away. I was infuriated. Nobody would ever like me. I stopped him.  "That's alright. We can remain friends. Can you meet me at the library at 5:00 so we can study for the Chemistry test tomorrow?" I had asked him.

"Sure," he replied.

It was 4:00. School had ended 50 minutes ago. I walked in the house. Nobody was home, so I stole my dad's key to his safe. I grabbed his gun and tucked it in my coat pocket. The library was only a 15 minute walk from my house, so at 4:45 I went on my way.

Thomas was waiting outside the library when I got there. I pulled out my gun and held it to his side. "Walk. You scream, I shoot." We walked back to my house.
