THIS STORY IS ABOUT: IDUBBBZ
(disclaimer; this is smutty af so you have been warned everyone)
Hey Louise!
I hope this makes you say, "Hey. That's pretty good."
"Louise, are you legitimately blind? Of course he likes you! He literally comes to the store just to see you. I don't care how many HDMI cords he says that he's "broken", No one goes through them that fast. He bought three of them just last month." You glanced at your best friend over your shoulder, a look of skepticism obvious in your expression. You ran a hand through your shoulder length brown hair with a sigh.
"I still don't believe it, Had. Why would a guy like Ian Carter like me? What do I, of all people, have that he could possibly want?" You asked, pulling the buggy along behind you that was carrying the newest shipment of headphones. Hadley lets out frustrated groan, reaching out in front of her, her fingers curling around an imaginary neck.
"You make me want to strangle you! It's literally so obvious and yet you still can't or refuse to see it!" The buggy squeaks loudly as you turn a corner, trudging to the headphone section and coming to a lazy stop.
"If he liked me, wouldn't he talk to me outside of the store too? I mean, we live in the same apartment complex, on the same floor for Gods sake." You let out a sigh and shake your head, trying to clear your thoughts as you began reorganizing the multitude of headphones that hung on the wall.
"Maybe he's too afraid to talk to you outside of the store because he thinks you'll run away or something." You open your mouth to shoot her idea down, but close it. You hadn't actually thought about that and honestly it was a very possible.
"Only one way to find out, Lou." Hadley nods, smirking slightly as she wiggles her eyebrows suggestively. You could feel your cheeks warming up and quickly turned away, speedily hanging up the remaining headphones.
"Shut up." She couldn't see your face, but she knew you were laughing nonetheless. She crows loudly, throwing her shoulders into the laugh.
You grab the buggy and sloppily tug it with you back to the storage room. There was no way you'd be able to work up the courage to go out of your way to try and say something to him first, but the more you thought about what Hadley said, the more you wanted to get a definite answer to your questions. Grabbing your things from your small locker, you return to the front of the store, Hadley nowhere to be found. You let out a sigh and walk to the checkout counter, emptying the money from the register and taking it to the safe in the small office. After 10 minutes of getting everything the way it needed to be you walked to the door front door, fishing your keys out of your pocket as you walked through, then locked the door behind you. The sun had almost completely set, the clouds pink against the orange and blue sky and the temperature had started to cool down. The brief walk home was pleasant, and for once you weren't covered in sweat or fearing for your life. You ambled through the doorway of the complex's lobby, noticing a sign on the elevator that read "out of order". You groan pathetically as you turned and headed for the stairs. Even though you were kind of tired, you took the steps two at a time and reached the fourth floor quickly.
