"Hurry up, Mia, your sister has to get to school!" My dad yelled. I sighed, walking out of my room ready to go. "Yeah, yeah, I'm ready dad." I said quite unenthusiastically. I picked up my backpack and put it on my back, then retrieved my iPhone 5 and Beats.
Today, I am not going to school. I am spending the entire day at Starbucks with my dad. Since my father usually gets his work done the best there, I have to stay the whole day until we have to pick my sister up from school. I mean, she could just take the bus, but whatever.
"Get in the car, girls!" My dad yelled once again. Without saying a word, I walked outside to the car and hopped in the front seat. Soon after, my sister and father did the same. My sister, Melani, is in 4th grade, as I am in 8th. Melani is acting really bratty this morning and I don't know why; it's probably because she wants to skip school too.
My dad pulled up to the school and dropped Melani off, then sped over to the nearest Starbucks.
Today was going to be a blast.
