Carl and Me

Chapter :one - lost without you

I never knew much about him. Him and Daryl just found me and my mother in a abandoned house down from Atlanta. But it was when he pulled me out of under the remains of my house I knew he was mine. "Come on we have to go before it gets dark." Said Carl. "Yeah it gets worst at night." Said Daryl. So we leave and we all get into the car. My mom is in the front with Daryl and I'm in the back with Carl. "What were y'all doing under that torn down house?" said Daryl. "We were hiding from these things." Said my mom "Well y'all are going to be safe with us." Said Carl "Thank goodness."Said my mom "Why say that I guess y'all weren't doing to good." Said Daryl "No we were running back and forth house to house, I was almost attacked by those whatever you call them." I said "We call them walkers or as Daryl calls them sons of bitches." Said Carl. We all laughed. So when we get to the prison we get to meet everyone. "Who are they?" Rick asked "Survivors but I don't know there names." Said Daryl "I'm Brooke and this is my mom Krystal." I said. "Nice to meet you this is Maggie,Glenn, Hershel, and Beth." Said Rick "Nice to meet y'all." I said. "We should get inside it's getting dark." Said Hershel. So we get inside and I bunk with Beth and my mom goes with Maggie. "Wake up Brooke we have to go help set up." Said Beth "Set what up?" I asked " wood borders incase the governor comes." Said Beth. "Who's that?" I asked. "We'll explain later."said Beth.


Chapter 2: by my side

"Nice to see y'all bright and early to help." Said Hershel "Glad to be a help." Said my mom "Krystal can you go down to the fences I think I left my gun down there, If a walker gets near you hit it in the head with a bat there's one by the fence before you go to the field." Said Maggie. My mom agreed only if we knew something bad happened only if I knew to not let her down there only if I watched her. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Everyone drops what there doing and runs to the field. Carl draws out his gun and starts to shoot walkers around the fence. Maggie and Beth grabs some bats and starts hitting walkers Rick runs to my mom and Daryl grabs his crossbow and starts to shoot walkers going around my mom. Hershel and Glenn goes up to the post and watch out for walkers going to the outer fence while I fall to the ground crying. Carl stops shooting and looks back at me then he starts running to me. "Everything will be fine." Said Carl. "Coast clear!" said Glenn. Rick comes up with my mom in his hands. I start to cry more and Carl looks at me and hugs me. I was happy and sad at the same time. "Brooke!" my mom cries. I walk up to her "yes mom." I asked "your my strong little girl don't worry I'm going to be fine don't you worry."my mom said "But you can't leave me not now." I cried. "You'll be fine I love you." my mom said "I love you too!" I said. My mom closes her eyes and Rick stabs her in the head "I'm sorry." said Rick and he came and gave me a hug " Don't worry my mom died to from giving birth to my sister Judith it will be ok we are strong." Said Carl

Chapter 3: I'll be there

I woke up knowing my mom wasn't there. I couldn't bear the pain, the lost, and the sadness. Beth woke up and cheered me up. " I lost my mom to right out of my hands. we were leaving the farm cause it was taken over by walkers. we were running out of the house to get to the cars to leave and they all came out of no where." Said Beth. "That's terrible." I said "yeah so many things happen out of no where for no reason." said Beth. We went back to sleep and in the morning we were going to burry my mother by Carls mom and this other guy I can't remember his name. "Rise and shine Beth and Brooke we have to go for a run after the funeral." said Maggie. We got up and went outside I saw Carl standing there when I got up to him he took my hand and we ran down to the field for the ceremony. Carl saw the tears in my eyes and he gave me a hug. Beth saw me cry to and she went over to me and said "Your a strong little girl I know you can make it through." "Thanks." I said. When it was all over we had to go for a ride. "Alright Daryl Carl y'all are coming right?" said Rick "yeah I'm coming" said Daryl "Can I take Brooke?"asked Carl. I turn around shock and I smile. "If she wants to." said Rick. "Do you wanna come?" Carl asked me. "Sure!" I said. So once again me and Carl are in the back and Rick and Daryl are in the front. "What are we looking for?" I ask "Stuff...things." said Rick. I was confused what stuff? what things? Carl whispers to me "supply's we need to survive." "Oh ok." I said. We arrive and Daryl hands me a gun "Shoot them in the brain but only shoot when one gets near." said Daryl "Are you a good shot?" Asked Carl "yeah they always came near us in Atlanta but I shot them with my arrows so it wouldn't make noise." I said. He winked and looked back for walkers. Only little did I know that there was no bullets in my gun. I got down to tie my shoes I grab the gun and get back up and a walker comes out 3feet from me and I shoot. That's when I realize no bullets were in my gun so a screamed and ran to Carl. He turns around and sees me running from a walker so he aims and shoots it and he runs and grabs me "are you ok?" he asked "I'm fine." i said. Daryl comes out "Y'all ok !?" asked Daryl "were fine my gun didn't have bullets in it." I said "Oh I guess I grabbed the wrong gun sorry" said Daryl "it's ok good thing Carl was here to save me." I said I looked at Carl and smiled then I turned back to Daryl. "Alright were done here we can go back now." said Rick. And so we head back.

Chapter 4: Carl's thoughts about Brooke

It seems like I've known her forever. Even tho we only knew each other for a week now yesterday when I saw her smile back at me I just thought about her the rest of the day. In the car on the way back I saw her looking out the window I wonder what was going threw her mind then. It's sad how her mother died but she's strong I know she is. I wonder what she thinks about the prison I wonder what she thinks about me and the others. Does she like the prison better than Atlanta. Only if I knew these things maybe tomorrow we can talk maybe if we're not busy. There are so many questions I have for her but I can't ask. I wonder what I should ask? I'm not so sure what to do. Do I want and see what comes? But I do know her mother just died but that's the point where she turns to be strong like I did. Well I guess I will talk to her tomorrow hopefully we don't have anything to do.

Chapter 5: I'm here for you

Today we had nothing to do so was going to hang out by the fences of the tower. Rick and Daryl were out there killing walkers by the fence. Glenn comes out and says "Hey Brooke are you doing ok?" "Yeah I'm fine." I said then he smiles and grabs a cane and goes to the fences to help Rick and Daryl. And all the sudden "Hey." said Carl. I turn around Carl is out there waiting by the cell block exit right out side the gates. As I walk to him I hear a gun shot out of now where. Maggie,Beth,and hershel comes out with Judith. Rick,Daryl, and Glenn run up to the gates with us. We all look at each other everyone's there. Everyone's ok no one knows what happened. "What happened dad?" asked Carl. "I don't know, did any of y'all take out your gun?" asked Rick. "No we were all inside Maggie was reading I was watching Judith and Beth was getting a bottle ready for her." Said Hershel. "And it was just me and Brooke standing out here." said Carl. We stood in silence. Nothing happened for a while so Maggie, Glenn, Hershel, and Beth went inside. Me and Carl and Daryl went down to the fences and kill the group of walkers. There were about 20 walkers left. If I knew about the one on the ground I would of killed it ahead of time I was a few feet from Carl and Daryl was nowhere near us. A walker on the ground grabs Carls leg and he falls to the ground I didn't notice till... "Nooooooooooo! Carl!" Rick screamed. I turn and look at Carl he's on the ground trying to reach his gun and trying to not get bit. "CARL!" I scream. I run over and I grab my gun and shoot the walker on his foot. Thank god he was ok. Rick and Daryl arrived asking if he was ok. "I'm fine thank god Brooke was here to save me." said Carl. I smile and blush and said "it's no big deal I just owe you one from saving me the other day." We all go back to the prison and finish the day I hope tomorrow and the next few days are not so dramatic it's been a long painful week.

Chapter 6: long night

So I wake up in the middle of the night and I hear someone upstairs. I walk up the stairs slow and quiet I get up to the stairs it's Daryl. "What you doing up girl?" he asked as saw me. "I woke up from a bad dream well more of a bad memory." "come here take a seat." he said. I walked over and sat beside him and he puts down his arrow and said "what was the bad memory?" "before y'all found me I was with my sister and my mom we lost my sister and she was about your age, anyway we lost her and a day later y'all found us." "well I had a brother this motherless piece of shit called the governor shot him. so I had to kill him because he turned to one of those walkers." "I'm so sorry Daryl." "me too. hey do you want to help me with something tomorrow?" "sure what?" I said "I need to go run into town to go get something, I can only take one because I ride a motorcycle." Daryl said "oh cool , now that's badass." we laughed and he said "your going to be my badass girl cause I'm going to go to a weapon shop we can see if we can find a crossbow for you and u can ride my motorcycle with me when I go places." "that be cool!" I said "well we better rest for our day see ya girl." said Daryl. So we both go back to our cells and I will have a good day tomorrow!

Chapter 7: Good days end with tragedy

So I wake up happy. I'm Daryl's badass girl I said to myself. So I go out and I see Carl. "Hey Brooke." said Carl. "Hey Carl." "Where you going?" he asked. "I'm going with Daryl to go look for supply's." I said "Woah your going by yourself with Daryl!?" he said " yeah is that a problem?" I said with a confused look. " Why are you going your leaving me and going far away without me!" he screamed "I didn't think you care your my best friend why would you care!" I yelled. He paused a second with a worried but mad look on his face "I want you to be safe and stay safe." he said quietly. He tilted his head looking at the ground. "Ill be fine Daryl will be out there with me, I have a gun I think I'll be good." I said. He looks up to my eyes and he takes my gun and gives me his. "Why did you give me your gun?" I asked. "So you will have a piece of me with you." he said. I look up at him, he has a sad look on his face. So I give him a hug. Daryl comes in "are you ready?" he asked "yeah." I smile at Carl and I give him another hug and I kiss him on the cheek then I ran to Daryl.

So Daryl gets on his bike "hop on." he said I get on and we leave I wave by to Carl as he opens the gate.He waves back.
