Shelby POV
The end of holidays has came! There's good news and bad news. Good news, my bestfriend, Fawn, is going to LA in 7 weeks and I'll be coming! Bad news, I'm moving schools. Yup, it's great isn't it? *note sarcasm* "Shelby?!" My mother yelled from the kitchen. I jumped up form my bed and jogged down stairs "what?" I say tiredly "so, are you okay?" She put the tea down on the counter "yes mum" I roll my eyes and walk off "Fawns coming, now" and at that moment a knock came from the door. I sprint up to the door and swing it open with a big smile on my face and there standing is Fawn and... Some guy? While I was checking this guy ou- no, I wasn't checking him out like that, I was just seeing with he looked like and stuff... Anyway Fawn interrupted my thoughts by clearing her throat I stared her in the eye and moved to the side so they could walk in and in the corner of my eye I see the mysterious boy wink at me.
"Hello mum" Fawn said to my mum "oh, Fawn your too funny" my mum gave Fawn a hug while laughing "who's this young fella?" My mum pointed out the young, handsome boy- yes, I said handsome, because he was. "My name is Harry, Harry Fletcher" she shakes my mums hand "he's my cousin" Fawn interrupts. We all go upstairs into my room. I open the door to my somewhat clean room of mine "shelby, I wasn't expecting this" Fawn obviously dumbfounded "well! Let's go to the park!" Harry said looking at his phone "at 8:00 at night?!" Me and Fawn say at the say time "jinx" I jinx her before she can jinx me.
~Later~
"Aww she's so cute, so is her little sister" Fawn basically fangirls over this child and her little sister "well let's go say hi, or ask why they have no parents around?" Harry starts walking over to their location. Me and Fawn Hogg up to Harry talking to the 12-13 year old with her 4-5 little sister "hi I'm Harry" Harry introduced himself "and these are my friends, Fawn and Shelby" he introduced us "well, I'm Sarah, and this is Meghan" The shy 12-13 year old girl mumbled "do you have parents?" Fawn asks and I elbow her "yeah, there just fighting, so we came out" Sarah said "that's no good, are they drunk?" I ask, concerned. She nods her head "well, Have they hit yo-" I got cut off from screaming. I turn my head and see a beautiful women on the floor outside a house with a tall man above her... Abusing her?! "Mommy!" I look at Sarah as she quickly climbs down the spider web Harry obviously stops the crying girl. I grab Meghan and give her to Fawn and I run up to Sarah and tell her to go to Fawn. She does. Me and Harry run to the scene, only to see the man cussing her out. Harry pushes the man over but fails. I grab the women by the shoulder and lift her up and all I can hear is screaming and crying and the women saying "where's my kids!" I nod my head and pull out my phone calling 911.
A few moments later my ears are filled with sirens. And I see Fawn come over with Sarah and Meghan and the women running towards them "mom!" Sarah runs towards her. After their little hug i walk over to them "thank you, thank you." The women hugs me with all her might and she continues "you are some great kids" I hug her back. I look at Sarah and Meghan and walk over to them "will I see you again?" Sarah says looking down "of course" I pull her head up with my finger and smile ear to ear.
