By this time you might've guessed I am a special person. I guess you'd be right. I mean, why else would be an epic ballad about me and my awesomeness? For a fourteen year-old girl, I'm pretty badass. But let's talk about me for a second. I go to Lewlton Middle School, and am in the top of my class. I have long, ruler straight hair, that is a weird brown and gold and slightly reddish sometimes. My eyes are either brown, or bluish green, depending on the mood I'm in, the day of the week, and how close the stars are to the diamond planet of Zora. I am a total nerd, and hang out with the same people. Also, before I make any surprise references, I am completely obsessed with Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton." Best. Musical. Ever. Oh, and my name is Krissie. Krissie B. Camerose.
Anyways, onto the story. When this whole horrible situation started, I was thirteen years, three months and three days old. Some would call this the first day of school. I call it agony. Either way, it was horrible. I rode to school in my mother's car, even though I could've biked. It was just one of those occasions where everything lined up. I got out and was almost happy to go to my home away from home- the Building Two library. The only fiction library in the whole school. It was where my friends and I used as a mini sanctuary in the mornings before class. Not only did it meet our anti-social standards, but it was also a getaway from the extreme heat or the "cold." We live in Florida, by the way. Our standard of cold is anything under 60 degrees. I was dreading the fact that I had to go to homeroom. My homeroom sucked, big time. I had zero friends, or even those friends of friends that you can talk to in extreme situations where the acutal friend is not there. Nope, I was stuck in a homeroom that had the extremely juvenile deliquent types (hereby known as the JD), two girls that didn't even know what a cavity was, and then the special students that the "teacher" had for seventh period. If you didn't know, I don't fit into any of those categories. The lady who had us for homeroom was someone who I don't think teaches anything. She has the kids who aren't ESE, but have some sort of social disorder, I think. Her name was Mrs. Black. I was able to push those agonizing thoughts aside when I saw my best friends ever walk in through the doors.
Let me introduce them first. We'll go in alphabetical order:
Azzilynn Mellard: Has the best name in the entire group. Goes by "Azzy" with her friends, and loves soccer. She does play, and she has a great sense of humor. Her crush's name is Parker. He is currently going out with one of my used-to-be besties. Greeeaaaattt.
Emma Cisch: Is the only person who can keep her head on most of the time. She swims, runs, and does races. She hopes to do triathalons someday. Great sense of humor as well, and has the perfect shoulder to cry on.
Eva Shau: Crazy as heck. I have a sneaking suspicion it comes from the wild red hair of hers. Is secretly a unicorn in her spare time, and also swims, bakes, and posts Insta-selfies. Shares Azzy's love of soccer, though she doesn't play. Her mom is from Ireland, and her dad is a Brit. He has a really cool accent. Her little brother is so adorable, too. WARNING: Don't give her Starbucks. Or any sort of coffee. Just stay away from the general sugar category. And carrots. They fuel the hair.
Milly Dobier: Fantastic artist. Really great. She is also a year younger than all of us. She has the longest hair of the group, it is a solid ebony color. Does the two highest bands at our school. (Sorry, I'm not a band geek. I am a Chorus and Drama nerd. I'll have to ask them next time I get the chance) LOVES cats.
Scarlet Sudoku: Second best name. Has the funniest persona and loves to be real and crazy and wonderful. Used to have rapunzel-length black curly hair, but she cut it. Also in the top two bands, and plays percussion.
They are the best people you could ever want to hang around. They were my sisters. Then everything slowly changed.
