Forest that never ends

Where is she?

The strong winds nearly blew me of my feet. Where is mamma? My name is Flash, according to my mother I just lost. Dark loomy forests are a head of me, maybe mamma needed shelter in the forest?? A storm lingered above my head hissing and spitting with ice cold rain drops. I sniff the air and catch a scent in the air, so thick I can slice it in half. I remember this scent from somewhere....... BLOOD..... I thought. It sent a shiver down my spine. I followed the scent to  a clearing in the forest, I saw my mother attacking 3 foxes at once. I tried to yowl her name to ensure her that I was here, but my voice was stuck in my throat from the cold, so I sat there waiting for her and watching the fight.

My mother swiped at one of the foxes but it dogded it and swiped a hard viscous blow at her. Kate fell down exposing her belly ( Kate is my mother's name) another fox bit her in the throat while the other raked her soft belly. She yowled in pain. I ran into the clearing, the foxes took one look at me and snickered they then launched at me, I screeched  and ran for the trees. Fortunately the foxes didn't follow, but my mother was still there......
