Sinine and Rose had grown used to being alone together after a few days, growing into a comfortable routine. On the third day though, Rose had gotten extremely sick. All of her leaves and roses began to wilt, and Sinine panicked, calling Jaiden during school. He had hoped Jaiden would understand the gravity of the situation, considering they hadn't needed to contact him once.

"Hello? What's up? Everything alright?" He blurted quickly as he answered the call. The robot still unsure of what to do, had laid the flora on the sofa and covered her with a blanket.

"Rose is sick. I don't know why, and I don't know how, but she is and I don't know what to do." At this, Jaiden gave a sigh of frustration. He hadn't planned for that to happen for a couple more days.

"Yeah, okay, I'll deal with it when I get home. For now, just make sure she drinks as much water as she can, okay? She'll be fine, Sin, I promise. Gotta go." He said as he quickly hung up. Sinine sighed nervously and looked toward his flowered friend. She was sweating profusely, and he brought her a glass of water.

"Here, Rose, drink this. Jaiden said you should drink a lot of water." She took the glass, but set it down, opting to replace it with Sinine's hand.

"Sin..?" Rose choked out nervously. "I-I'm scared.." She admitted, obviously hesitant to do so. He sighed and ran his free hand through his hair, a nervous habit he picked up after the flora convinced him to quit smoking.

"It'll be okay Rose..." he comforted, although he wasn't sure he believed it himself. She teared up slightly, but wiped away her tears quickly with a nod.

Not much later, Jaiden returned home from school. He quickly took a once-over of Rose and nodded solemnly. Looking up to Sinine, he tried to keep a serious face. "Yeah, you're going to have to shut down for a while. You definitely won't want to see this." Sinine's eyes widened quickly.

"But will she be okay? I can't just go!" He blurted out quickly, obviously just as nervous as the flora in question was. Jaiden nodded honestly.

"She'll be fine when you return, I swear. Now c'mere." He muttered, shutting Sinine down temporarily. He looked down at the writhing Rose. She was in a lot of pain. "It'll be okay, Rose. You're dying is all." Jaiden said calmly. Her eyes widened.

"I'm what??" she questioned, panicking. She attempted to sit up, but he gently pushed her back down.

"Don't try to get up, it'll hurt more. I created you from a rose bush, as you probably already know. Rose bushes have a very short life span, therefore you're dying. You'll be fine, I'll just have to reanimate you after you go. Just, whatever you do. Don't. Tell. Sinine. I created you to make him happier, and he has been thanks to you. Please, keep him that way." He explained quickly. Rose, after taking a moment to piece together what he said, nodded slightly.

"O-okay.." she whispered, tearing up. "Will I still have my memories? Will I still know Sinine?" Jaiden nodded, giving her a small smile.

"I'll make sure of it." She took a deep breath and nodded, her eyes becoming heavier with every passing second. Quickly, she breathed out the last breath she could.
