We left the cave and started to head back to Kai's pack.

"So, where were you Bay?" I asked, holding my bookbag.

"I was looking for you," he said, "I went into a town and started searching but then I thought this would be to risky for you. So I started searching through the forest, and I finally found you."

I smiled. My eyes sparkling and I realized I was blushing, but I had to stop because I remembered that Kai was with us too.

"How long have you guys been best friends," Kai asked.

"Forever," I answered, "he is like my family."

"Thanks," Bay said, I thought he was talking to me but he was looking at Kai, "for promising to help her find me, thanks man."

"Your welcome," Kai said.

We stopped near a lake so cool off and get some more water, catch food, and talk. I left Bay and Kai together as I went to look for some food. I didn't need a weapon, it wasn't hard to find something to eat. I looked up at the trees and at the ground. We haven't eaten in two days, so I was starving. The wind blew my hair and I felt a simple breeze on my face, I felt free, safe, and calm for once. I liked it. I wanted to keep it that way for as long as I could. I caught a bunny and a bird. I started to walk back when I heard a scream. I dropped the food and ran to were it was, I stopped and saw two girls laying on the floor hands tied up as they screamed for help. I hid behind a tree and tried to look for who did this to them. Then I saw a man, he was a wolf. He was going to eat them? By what I could tell he wasn't alone. Two other men and a woman came back holding sticks there were making a fire.

"Please, let us go, PLEASE," one of the girls screamed. She was blonde and had hazel eyes. Her friend had black hair dyed sky blue at the tips.

I ran to another tree and climbed it to a angle were they couldn't see me.

"Shut up," one man said, I could tell he was the leader.

"Why didn't you think to bring tape?" The woman said to him.

"Don't talk to me like that," he said.

"I can talk to you however I want, if you hurt me my dad will have you dead in a second," she said crossing her arms.

He rolled his eyes and looked back at the girls.

The other guy started sniffing the air. Did he smell me? What do I do now?

"There is another wolf here," he said, "look around search the trees, and then kill him or her, quickly, spread out."

I climbed the tree more, but something grabbed my leg. I fell to the ground and landed on my back.

"Found her," the woman said, looking at me, I kicked her in the stomach and she fell. I quickly got up and they circled me, "just calm down, it will be a slow and painful death young wolf."

"Get away, I'm not trying to hurt you, just let the girls go," I said.

"Help please," the black haired girl said, "I don't want to die, please help."

"Just surrender," the guy said.

"You can fight, but we will win," the other guy said, "so give up now wolf."

They went into wild form but I stayed in human form. Before they could attack, I used my earth element and threw dirt into the air, and into their eyes blinding them. I ran to the girls and quickly but them out.

"Run, go to the west until you see two boys, tell them Arden sent you. They will keep you safe," I told them, they nodded and started to run.

I looked back at the wolves and they were growling. I cut the main wolves through and he fell to the ground. One of the wolves ran away and the girl attacked me. Using my water power I drowned her and she got off of me. The last one I threw him to a rock and he cracked his skull. I quickly ran away and went back to where I was. When I got back the girls were there and Bay and Kai were comforting them.

"Your back, what happened?" Bay said.

"Nothing, are they okay?" I asked.

The girls looked at me and were crying. Kai was hugging the blonde girl and the black haired girl was laying on the floor staring at the sky.

"What are your names?" I asked them.

"Claire and Bailey," the blonde one answered, "I'm Claire, that's Bailey."

I nodded. "I'm Kai," he said.

"Bay," Bay said going to get water.

"And your Arden," Bailey said looking at me, "thank you for helping us."

"Your welcome," I said walking to them, "I wasn't going to let innocent people die, there are evil people in this world, and I'm not one of them."

"Thank you," she said, "but are you a wolf? Or a witch?"

I breathed in and sat down in front of a tree. "Both," I said, "I'm a hybrid."

"Oh," Claire said, "wow, and you two?"

"I'm a vampire and wolf," Kai said.

"I'm just a wolf, so I have the most risk of dying," Bay said, "but I have them to protect me and to protect you guys."

"Thank you again," Claire said.

I went back and decided to go and find some more food. I got another rabbit and two squirrels. I picked some berries knowing that the girls may not eat the wolf food. We ate and drunk some water then decided to get to know the girls and how they got here.

"It's a class trip, a camping trip," Claire started, "we went for a hike, but me and Bailey got lost, we aren't even friends. But we have to stick together."

"Oh, well, your safe now," Bay said.

"We are not evil people, we are going to get you home safe," I said, "you know what, I promise you that we will, okay."
