Chapter 16

"What have I done? What have I done? What have I done?" Haejung can't stop saying the same thing over and over again for a whole 30 minutes.

After she ran out of Jinhwan's house, she went straight to the park. She didn't dared to go home, she didn't dare to face Junhoe. She kissed Jinhwan, how can she reply to the kiss? Why didn't she push him away?

Haejung is really flustered, her lips only belongs to that one person and that one person is none other than Junhoe. But why..? Why didn't she push him away? Why did she have to cheat on the poor boy.

Haejung hurried her face into her hands and cried, she felt dirty and guilty.

She went home really late that night. But her heart hurts even more when she saw Junhoe sitting on the couch waiting for her. He's already asleep and drooling a bit. Haejung walked to his side and kissed his lips. She then pulled back and whipped a tear a way.

This is the lips that I loved, not that.

She forced out a smile and tapped Junhoe's shoulder. "Hoe ah.. wake up.."

The boy stirred a bit in his sleep but didn't bother to wake up. Haejung heart softened at the sight.

She laid down on the floor and stared at her husband, smiling a bit. But soon it followed by tears.

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to.. I don't know why Hoe.. I felt so dirty for kissing another guy..." She cried silently, afraid that she'll wake the boy up.

She then fell asleep on the floor, with tear stains on her beautiful cheeks.

"I'm sorry Hae.. but this is the only way to keep her safe.." Haejung doesn't even have the time to ask him who is the she that he's talking about. He turned away and Haejung can't speak, it's like something is stopping her.

His shadow slowly fades away leaving Haejung there, crying her hearts out.

Haejung immediately shot up from the floor, panting.

"Hae? You okay?" She turned to her right and saw Junhoe beside her, looking at her with concern.

"I-I'm fine.." Junhoe patted the poor girl's back. He knows how much she hates nightmares.

Haejung felt weird about the dream. Why is Donghyuk in her dreams? And who is the girl she's talking about? Did he hurted her or something? Why did he apologized?

A millions of questions is running through her head but it all faded away when Junhoe planted a small kiss on her forehead.

"I don't know what's it that you've dreamt, I won't ask you but you can tell me if you want to okay? I just hope that it isn't something serious."

Yeah, it isn't something serious so why would she be worried? Sometimes her dreams do came true, but that's just sometimes.

She smiled and hugged the boy's neck.

"It's nothing.."

"So, what did mom told you?" Haejung stopped eating her breakfast when she heard what her husband asked.

Oh yeah, reminds her that she lied and cheated on him.

She swallowed her food and smiled. "Nothing much, we're just having some mother and daughter moments, nothing much."

Junhoe nodded but not quite buying that. From what he know, Mrs. Yoon can't even laugh without being bitter right now.

Haejung quickly finished her breakfast and walked to the living room.

"I'm going to the coffee shop for some inspiration. See you tonight." She grabbed her bag that contains all of the stuff that she needs, including her lap top and walked out of the house. But before she leaves, she stopped in front of the door and looked back at Junhoe. "Hey Hoe ah.. I love you very much."

Junhoe smiled back and waved his hand "I love you too. Now off you go, you need to finish that book as soon as possible."

The guilt rushed back to Haejung as she quickly rushed out of the house.

Junhoe smiled to himself at how cute his wife acts. He still wonders why is she sleeping on the floor tho.

Both thought the day is going to be normal just like any other days.

But little did they know, Donghyuk is planning to pay him a visit later that day with something that is very important to the husband and wife.

Try guessing, did Donghyuk found the ring that Haejung didn't even notice that it disappeared and the ring that Junhoe notice it's not on his wife fingers but decided to not say anything?

Donghyuk is just trying to protect his love that's all.

I'm sorry I rushed. Exam finished two weeks ago actually hehe. Now my goals is to finish this book this year. If there's Malaysian here, you'll know, I'm having pt3 next year :)
