Several weeks after the corpse of a young woman was discovered in Bell's Woods ending a three-week manhunt by the police. Her body was found naked and face-down under a mound of leaves, suffering repeated stab wounds but was killed by severe blows to the head. The fact that she was found faced down shows that the killer was remorseful and regretful; also the way she was left (under a mound of leaves) showed that the killer wanted the victim to hide the body. Her clothes were found nearly two miles away from where she was found. It had shown proof of DNA (blood) on all of her clothes.
The initial autopsy report had suggested that suggested that she was stabbed over 23 times with an object that a blade knife could not have made the wounds. The medical examiner believed that a heel of a shoe made the stab wounds found on the body, based on the width, length of the wounds made. Police officers reported to the husband of the victim's house as soon as they found the body. They reported that he seemed reluctant to let them in and his face was monotonous telling them that he was unmoved by the death of his beloved wife. When we had asked him where he was the night that she was taken he paused for a long while and seem to be unsure of himself. The husband has stated, " I don't know nothing about it .I was working here at the night she disappeared" talking about the VFW on Highway 41 as a bartender. The husband's father had vouched for his son saying that my son may have run with the law in the past but my baby boy couldn't have been responsible for such an ugly thing. I was sitting with him all night when his so-called Wife disappeared. He didn't leave my sight once". This had made the officers more suspicious than they had already been. In the morning they had decided to go over to the husband's house with a warrant. While in his house they had found two old bloody heels on the kitchen floor in a rock beside of it. They have brought him in to the police station for questioning. He was unresponsive to anything they had told him and was crying the whole time.
