Fates Entwined

Chapter One:

I am Sky Magenta Towers.People who know me calls me Maggie.16 years old.Neighbors,classmates,and only my parents know me.I'm a 4th year highschool student at Grandeuresque Academy.People think I'm a weird person,outcasted,and always on the Lone Zone.It's because I merely hang out with other people.

"Maggie!!"-

Because of that,I have no friends.Those persons that I treated as my friends end up betraying me or I'll just found out that they used me.I feel like I'm different from them.Yes I talk to my classmates oftenly and it's all about school matters,and no more beyond that.

"Maggie!!"-

I have nowhere to go to.I don't go out with my classmates nor they don't go with me neither.I am an introvert and alone most of the time.

"Maggie watch out!!!"-

I came back to my senses when someone pushed me that caused me to fall on the ground.

"Maggie are you okay?"-one of my classmates asked me while I was still wondering what happened.

"Uh, what happened Kate?"

"You're weird Maggie.You don't really know what just happened?You almost got hit by the ball.Are you even aware of that?"-Kate

I looked at the ball that almost hit me.By the way we're on the football field of our school for our P.E.The ball is already far from me and I was horrified when I looked at it,the ball burned and no one noticed it.And something weird happened.I don't know if I'm hallucinating or it's just a side effect of being almost hit by a soccer ball but my birthmark shined before the ball burned.

I got up and dust off myself from the grass that is on my jogging pants.Our P.E teacher approached me and asked if I'm okay.

"Maggie are you sure that you're okay now?Do you want to go to the clinic?"-Sir Lozano asked me concernedly.

"Yes sir.I'm okay now."

"Okay then.Class is finished.Go back to your classroom now."-Sir Lozano

I bowed my head and immediately ran to the Ladies' Room to change.After changing I headed back to our classroom and sat down to my chair then bury my head.I took a glance outside and I suddenly stared at the flower vase beside the Teacher's table.The next thing that happened made me shiver;the water on the vase boiled and a few seconds later,pieces of the vase were scattered on the floor.

"What happened here?Who broke the vase?"-because of shock,I didn't noticed that Ms.Cassandra,our Physics teacher,is already on our room.

She eyed at me for a bit which made me feel more uneasy.I feel like her eyes is telling me something and I'm also unsure if what I saw in her eyes is true or it's just an another hallucination;her eyes is not black the moment she looked at me but it's purple.Deep purple to be exact.

"Clean this mess now.And Ms.Towers,I want to have a word with you later.I have to ask you something.Is it okay with you?"-Ms.Cassandra said then she turned to me again

"Uhh..Yes miss."

An hour passed and our class ended after bidding goodbye to each other and to our adviser.My classmates dashed out the room ahead of me.Ms.Cassandra and I were left on the room.

"Maggie follow me."-Ms.Cassandra

I followed Ms.Cassandra to the faculty office and she immediately closed the door then she turned to me.There are no people inside the office and the two of us are just inside it.

"You did that,right?"-Ms.Cassandra asked me and I honestly don't know what she was talking about

"Did what,miss?"

"Oh I forgot that you still have no idea about it..about our world,oh nevermind.But you saw it right?You saw my eyes.Beautiful,isn't it?Haha,I'm just kidding.You can go home now."-Ms.Cassandra

She opened the door for me and pushed me out.But before she shut the door in my face,she said these words,

"A few words from your soon-to-be ex-adviser here,say goodbye to this world and say hello to your new world.Goodbye Ms.Towers ^_^V"-then she shut the door.

I left the school and rode on a jeepney on the way home.I put my hands on the railings of the vehicle and looked outside.I hummed a song then the wind suddenly blown hard which made me feel cold so I stopped humming.When I stopped humming, the cold air was gone too.

"Airix huh?"-

Who is that?I scanned around to find whose voice is that but I did not succeed to find him.

"Para po!!"-I shouted to the driver and the vehicle stopped near the corner to our house.

I got off the vehicle and before it could move somebody grabbed my arm and he said something that really made me feel more bothered.

"You're beautiful miss.Your eyes are beautiful.It's deep purple."-

He's a blonde guy whom I think is in my age.And just like Ms.Cassandra's eyes,it turned to purple then back to black.

The jeepney started to move again and so I started to walk home.I am few lots away to our house when I passed by an old tree which I remember as my favorite spot in our village.It has no more leaves and the branches are starting to fall off the tree.I stopped in front of it and there is Mang Canor standing while sadly staring at the tree.

"Mang Canor ayos lang po ba kayo?Ano pong nangyari bakit malungkot kayo?"-I asked

"Ayos lang ako Maggie.Nalulungkot lang ako kasi mamamatay na 'tong puno na to na inalagaan ko nang mahigit dalawang dekada.Napabayaan na kasi ng mga tao rito.Sige Maggie iha mauna na ako sayo."-Mang Canor replied and he started to walk away from the tree.

Dying?I can't believe that it's already dying.I touched its trunk for the last time and I was horrified when leaves started to sprung out again from its branches so I immediately ran away from the tree to get through our house.

What's happening?How did I do those things?Argh,it's bothering me! I need to get home now.Maybe I just need a rest.It will be fine later,I guess.
