Chapter 2- *New School*

We arrived at our house at exactly 6 pm.We ate dinner and there's something I realized while eating.How come Mr.Diaz and the rest in G.A didn't notice the change in my hair and eyes?Or did they ever noticed it?

"Maggie,go to your room and pack your things after you eat.We're going to leave this place later."-my mom suddenly announced when she finished her meal.

I looked at her with confused expression but she didn't answer me at all.Without further questions,I followed my mom's command and packed my things.I don't know where we are going but I still continued packing up all my things in my luggages and after 30 minutes I already finished doing it.I did my night routines and took my night shower.While on a bath,I suddenly felt a weird sensation on my body.I felt like the water is radiating a different kind of energy on my body that makes me feel strong and the air in my shower room is soothing cold.The atmosphere in my bathroom relaxes me.I wore my clothes after 45 minutes of bath then I decided to take a look at the mirror.My hair is still in unusual color and my eyes is still deep purple.I sighed then I proceeded to fix myself before I sleep.

"Wake up Maggie.We're leaving now."-

I'm already on a deep slumber when I heard my mom woke me up.I sleepily rubbed my eyes and got up of my bed.I saw Mom on the side of my bed and she motioned me to the bathroom.I just took a quick shower because I can't stand the coldness of the water.I changed my pyjamas into high-waist denim pants and a white statement hanging blouse before I go downstairs.I was surprised to see the time because it's just 4:30 in the morning.I went out of my bedroom and went to our dining room to eat my breakfast.

"Maggie are you done packing your things?"-mom asked me as I sit on the chair.

"Yes Ma.Bakit po ang aga naman nating umalis?Madaling araw pa po e."

"Kailangan nating agahan dahil mamaya na ang simula ng pasok nila.Kailangan mo ring malaman kung anong class ka.Kumain ka na at bilisan mo na."-Mama

I quickly finished my meal and after some minutes my mom and I were on the car.She started the engine and off we go to my new school.I still don't know where exactly is my new school located at and I didn't bother to ask my mom because she's focused on the road.I was just looking outside the window but I couldn't concentrate on the view completely because I saw that from bloody red shade of my mom's hair,it returned automatically to brown in a split second then it became red again.I can't take this any longer.I need to know how she did that and if we're still normal.

"Ma,paanong nagiging red yung buhok mo at bakit purple na yung mga mata natin?Saka nakita kita na hinawakan mo yung apoy.Ano ba talagang nangyayari?Normal pa ba tayo?"-I gathered all my courage to ask that to my mom

She sighed heavily before answering me without looking.

"Hindi tayo normal Maggie.Naiiba tayo sa mga ordinaryong tao.Yung nakita mo ay parte ng kakayahan ko.I can control the fire whenever I want.Yung lilipatan mong school ay isang secret school na para lang sa ating mga Elementia.Kung ako lang sana ang masusunod hindi pa kita ipapasok sa eskwelahan na iyon.Masyado ka pang hindi handa para pumasok sa Les Element High."-Mama

I have a feeling that any moment now I'm going to break down for all these revelations.We're not normal.My mom can control a fire at her will.There's a school only for us.I don't know myself anymore.Who am I really?

"Ma,I don't understand.What are you saying that we are not normal?What is an Elementia?Where in the world is that school?Can you please explain it further it for me?"

"I don't have any more time to explain it to you.You'll find it yourself.But for now,sleep."-

And with those words I fell in deep slumber again and the last thing I saw is a tear coming from my mom's eye.

"Maggie,wake up now.We're already here."-

I opened my eyes and looked around.I was surprised to see the surroundings.We weren't on a school but on a forest.It isn't so dark where we are at because we are surrounded by fireflies which I find fascinating.We got out of the car and started walking east.I am just following my mom and I'm getting used to the flame she's controlling as our guidelight.I'm slowly accepting the fact that we are not normal.Maybe that's the reason why I'm always alone.People find me different.

After walking for a couple of minutes we stopped in front of an old and creepy cabin.

"Papasok tayo diyan Ma?Ayoko pong pumasok sa loob.Mukhang nakakatakot po."-I blurted out

"Kailangan nating pumasok diyan.Besides it's not creepy inside.Come on Maggie."-Mama

She opened the cabin's door while I continue to convince myself that it's not scary here.While struggling in pulling my luggages,I suddenly bumped behind my mom's back and when I glanced around, the fear I had for this cabin vanished and I can say that my mom is right,it's not creepy inside.The cabin is creepy and old on the outside but it's a modern and welcoming bar on the inside.Who would've thought that there is a bar in this haunted cabin in a forest.

"I told you Maggie.It isn't creepy here."-Mama
"Akala ko po kasi nakakatakot rin sa loob pero mali po ako.Who owns this bar,Ma?"
"This is owned by the son of the president of Les Element High.Let's go Maggie."

We continued to walk until a waitress approached us.

"What's yours Ma'am?"-the waitress asked us particularly my mom.
"Rochaea Almond Tea."-my mom responded to the waitress

I thought that she will leave us already after my mom told her order but she only looked around before she turned to my mom again.

"Sa counter na lang po Ma'am.But can I know your name Ma'am for verification?"-
"Alyana Suarez-Towers."-Mama

The waitress was surprised when my mom said her name but she managed to lead us to the bar counter.

The waitress then left us after she led us to the counter and I wonder why she bowed to us especially to my mom.My mom talked to the lady bartender in the counter whom I think is near my mom's age.She even greeted my mom and asked if we're okay.

"Thank you Anya.By the way,nandun ba siya ngayon?"-Mama
"Oo.Hinihintay niya na kayo dun."-
"Sige salamat ulit Anya."-Mama
"You're welcome.Yana,mag-ingat kayo dun.I know it's a big decision for you."-

My mom smiled and then she bade goodbye to her friend.She dragged me to the farthest corner from the counter and we stopped in front of a door which is guarded by a girl in black suit which has purple eyes also.

"Your emblem Ma'am?"-the girl in black suit asked

My mom put her hair on one side and I saw a unique mark on her nape.It's a red owl with a scepter on it's side.

"The mark of Firix and the scepter of the black swan.You're Ms.Alyana Suarez aren't you?"-
"You're right and this is my daughter,Sky Magenta Towers or Maggie."-Mama
"Sky Magenta.What a beautiful name.Reminds me of the great Shizuka.By the way,where's her emblem Ma'am?"-

My mom turned to me and she told me to show my emblem which is I don't know where.

"Maggie,your emblem.Show her your emblem."-Mama
"I don't know where it is Ma."
"The one on your right pulse is your emblem."-Mama

I quickly took a glance on my pulse.So this is my emblem.It's not a birthmark.

I showed my emblem to the girl in black suit and she seemed like she'd seen a ghost when she saw it.

"Wreathei.Could it be ---"-the girl in black suit didn't finished what she's saying because my mom cut her off
"We need to go.Can we now go there?"-Mama

The girl in black suit opened the door for us and we got inside.I saw nothing in this room except darkness but after a while,I literally gaped in awe in the view I'm looking at right now.

It is not night here and the whole view is very fascinating.

"Did you like it? Welcome to the Les Element High,Maggie.And welcome to your new world,the world of Elementia."-Mama

Les Element High.Elementia.This is my new school now.This is my new home now.I hope I can be happy here.
