"Clairie, Clairice ... wake up sleepy head." Mom tries to awaken me. I was really awake; I had been awake for a while now I just really wasn't mentally prepared for all of this. Well whatever here goes nothing. I looked out the tinted window; it looked as if we were in a large bowl. Mountains were surrounding us like huge sky scrapers. That was probably the only surprising thing about this new place. Everything was small and plain. Defiantly fit the description of small town.

"This is it... really." Bradley moaned. Bradley was my older brother. He had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes; he was also very toned most all my friends had a crush on him. It was disturbing, gross, and just blehhhh.

"I don't need anyone's negativity; this is a new start, a new beginning." Mom says in a refreshing way. She is defiantly the most adventurous one out of the family. "We are almost their!" Mom says anticipation filling her voice.

"I call the biggest bedroom!" My little brother Brady says. Brady was just a little cutie. He had light brown hair (he was the odd ball out of the rest of us who had blonde.) He also had pale blue eyes.

We pulled around the corner and I saw the small house I had to now call home. I could only tell that it was it from the pictures mom had showed us a million times. It was a pale blue color, with while trim. A small oak tree growing on the front lawn and small bushes outlined the fence. It wasn't very extravagant but homie, kinda like the rest of this town.

"Ahh I'm so excited." Mom yelps jumping out of the car. "Don't you guys love it?" We all replied back with a quiet moan. "Oh come on guys just wait till you see the inside. " I followed mom into the small house that now was called home. When you walked into the house the first room was a small living room with dark wooden floors, then a large opening to the dining room and kitchen.

"Where is my room?" I ask trying to brighten the mood. I felt bad for mom; I knew she felt bad for making us leave everything for her work. Mom got layed off from her job as a secretary, so she was transferred down here.

" I was thinking this one would work great for you." She says leading me down to end of the hall, and opening the door. It was a medium sized room with nude pink walls, and a large window.

"Thanks mom it is really cute." I said honestly

"Wait for it," she smiles opening another small door. Behind the door was another little room.

"Is that a--"

"Yes! Walk in closet I know you have always wanted one." Mom cuts me off. She looked so happy and proud of herself.

"Thanks mom." I say hugging her.

"Your very welcome." She says kissing the top of my head. It was amazing how a simple walk in closet that really wasn't that exciting could turn around my whole attitude.

"Wake up sleepy head!" Mom nudged my shoulder.

"Mom it is eight o'clock in the morning." I spat back, looking at the alarm clock siting on my night stand. It took all day and four men to pack all of the furniture and other odds and end into my our house, and somehow I still had a mountain of boxes stacked up everywhere. I think we all dissevered the right to sleep in late today.

"I'm taking you to church to meet some new kids before school tomorrow." Eww.. The words school made me want to throw up in my mouth. I wish she would just understand that I didn't want to meet new friends I wanted my old friends! But yet again I really didn't have the strength to argue back it was to early in the morning

"Uggh" I say sitting up from bed the cold wood flooring defiantly didn't make anything better. I wrapped the warm blanket around me, and stood up looking like a zombie

"Thank you," mom yells from the hallway. Clearly she could hear my displeasure.

I walked over to my closet, were I had unpacked few things in my spare time. I grabbed a red oversized sweater that said Ambercrombie & Finch in big white letters. I also grabbed a pair of dark skinny jeans, and my combat boots. I was never really one to get really dressed up. I probably owned two dresses at the most. And one most likely from sixth grade graduation.

I reached into one of the boxes to grab my bare necessities. When I looked into my mirror all I could do was laugh. My hair looked like a birds nest. It reached about to the end of my rib cage and was a platinum blonde color. I ran a brush though it not giving enough time to even style it. I decided a grey beanie would probably be my best bet.

I also brushed some mascara on my eyelashes. It really made my bright blue eyes pop. I defiantly didn't think that I was the pretties girl on earth, but I knew I was pretty. I add a little foundation over my pale skin to finish off the look. I usually didn't wear much makeup either; I was always worried that it was too much when I did.

Looking at the alarm clock it was eight thirty. Nice job Clarice I mentally high five myself at the record breaking time.

"Let's go Clairie." Mom yells right on queue . "Church starts at nine I want to be early!"

"Coming! "I scream back. My brothers and mom were waiting at the front door. I walked out, and the breeze chilled my skin. What the hell I thought we were moving to a dessert it's not supposed to be cold, and to think that was the only thing I was even a little excited about. Luckily someone had already heated up the car.

"Brady stop!" Bradley yells at my other little brother, who was holding his finger a centimeter away from his face.

"What I'm not even touching you." He says innocently.

"I will hurt you and I'll make it look like a bloody accident!" Bradley smirks, as Brady yanks his finger away.

"Were her," Mom smiles. The building was a small wooden building with a big cross in front of it. A group of people were filling in. My family filed into the group, we almost had to shove our way though the narrow door. The inside of the building was larger than it looked on the outside. There were very high ceilings and large windows that showed of the gorgeous morning sunset.

"Well hello there you must be the Andersons that just moved in." An older looking lady probably about fifty greets us with a warm smile.

"Yes we just moved in two days ago." Mom replies.

"That's just terrific, I'm sure you will just love it here she said kindly."

"Thank you we already are. Huh kids." Mom says with a look on her face that you better say yes or your grounded for a week. We reply with polite yes's.

"Mommy I want the hot chocolate." My little brother yanks at my mom's sleeve.

"Clarice takes your brother to get some hot chocolate." Mom says directing me to a counter

with drinks and pastries. As soon as I started to walk Brady was full on running to the hot cocoa. This was torture I really didn't want to be here why was mom making us do this? All I could say is this sucks! I was in such deep thought that I didn't even see the wall right in front of me, and before I knew it I was flat on my but. My cheeks started to burn with embarrassment. How do I always seem to make bad situations worse.

"Are you okay?" A stranger asks. Great.

"Ya I'm fine. "I say looking up to a pair of gorgeous warm brown eyes. Holly shit balls he was perfect!
