Olive sat at her desk as she finished up the last of her paperwork. With a sigh she closed her files and put away her case papers as she prepared to go home. "Bye Otto," She said to her partner, who was listening to soundcheck as he "worked".  He didn't hear her over his music so Olive just left. Instead of taking the tubes home Olive decided to walk , she could use some fresh fall air. As she stepped outside and began her walk she pulled out her phone and headphones so she could listen to music. She hit shuffle and the song picked was " Set fire to the rain" by Adele.

And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over

She remembered when she first met Todd.

My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak,

She remembered how he was always the best of the best.

She remembered when he started acting Odd.

She remembered how heartbroken she had been the moment he was fired.

She thought about the cases they solved together and how hard Todd tried to teach her math.

Suddenly Olive fell to her knees as a tsunami of sorrow crashed onto her heart. Uncontrollable tears streamed from her face and passing strangers couldn't help but stare. But she didn't care. She only wanted one thing- her real partner back.
