A figure stands on a grassy cliff overlooking a sea. A small rocky path leading down to a even more rocky beach. The waves were crashing on the cliff rather calmly. Behind the figure, was a rather small seaside village. It looked rather peaceful. But it was eerie like no life remained, not even a fly. And if one were to look closer the would see the village in shambles. Yet there was no evidence of a battle, just corrosion and destruction. But now it was uncomfortable to say the least, like you could still feel the death. Yet there was nothing to indicate what had happened. The bricks making up the houses looked eroded by time. Not by war, there was no evidence of sickness, or even famine. No it just reeked of death. Even the sea it self look dangerous. Although the waves lapped calmly against the cliff, the entire bay was filled with rocks no normal sailor could navigate. Shipwrecks lined the bay, and every once in awhile you could see triangle shaped fins break the surface. Ripped sails and splintered wood floated about the water. Also in the sea was a small row boat with a figure in white passed out laying in it. The figure standing on the cliff side seemed calm, as if the eerie village had no effect on it. The figure's black tattered cloak was being swept up in the breeze. The cloak itself looked like it had been through a great ordeal, the rips and tares making the figure more ominous. Everyone who could've gotten a good look at the figure could see the twin rapiers hanging at it's sides. The rapiers were simple things silver hilt and guard, but if one looked closely they could see the symbol imprinted on each gard. It was an arrow shaped signia, with a snake for the shaft. This symbol was engraved in black, in great contrast to the silver gard. Underneath the cloak, the person was wearing black armor. Although it looked Heavy, the humanoid seemed to be carrying it effortlessly. The undershirt the figure was wearing had a high collar that would have flared out if not for the cloak. This shirt was purple, it was the only piece of clothing not colored black. The figure wore a black mask covering the bottom half of the face. The figure also had a black bandana on. But the most intriguing thing was the figure's eyes, they were a whirlpool of violet. With no iris or pupils. Just a swirling sclera. The wind suddenly picked up as dark clouds stormed in with white lighting crackling in the sky above. The figure turned away as a huge wave splashed impressively on the side of the cliff, exceeding the cliff's and figure's height. As the water rose up high above the figure, it started to walk to the Village. The figures eyes smug, like a cat catching a rat.
As the figure continued to walk a teenage girl ran up behind it. She was dressed, and looked much more extravagantly. She was wearing a white dress, the sleeves were long and reached her elbow. The sleeves, although long exposed her shoulders. The neckline was round and wide. The length went to a few inches above her knees. The Hems of her sleeves and the end of the dress itself was acscented in gold. Around the waist a gold sash was tied around it. Tied to the sash was silver pouches seemingly fill full. She was wearing white combat boots with a tall heel. The lasses were gold, and the boot went up to her knees. On her exposed skin, on her legs, arms, and neck, were green gems held up by gold. The way the bands looked, the gold look very much like veins none of the lines formed a solid single line. They all looked free flowing and random. Her skin was tanned, but she had slight scars alone the few places exposed. Though the scars were thin, and not ugly or rugged by any means. In fact the seamed to enhance her beauty. Her face had strong cheek bones. Her eyebrows thin and well sculpted. Her eyes looked like green pools of endless emeralds. Although they look like cat's eyes, with slitted pupils. Her hair was short, to the point she could have been mistaken for a boy. It was spiked up in the front with it laying smooth in the back. It was blond at first glance, but if one were to look closer you could see the Reds, Browns, and blondes going through it. She had a circlet made of silver with a black gem in the center, the circlet also looked like it was made of veins. By the look on her face anyone could tell she was annoyed. She was quite obviously soaked. For the first time in probably ages, the silence that surrounded the town was broken.
"You idiot, you left me down there! You know I hate the cold! You dumped me in the water and you left me. It's the middle of red moon! You know how cold it gets this time of year." The female shouted. The cloaked figure whipped around it's hood and mask falling down as it did so. Revealing a young man about 15. He looked no older then the girl. His face was slightly tan, his had black hair was wild. His bandana held back most of it from his face, except for a few strands that fell into his eyes. The hair even with the bandana it was still spiked up, though it looked on purpose. His purple eyes which once showed confidence, now showed fear. He started shaking as the girl's eyes and gems started glow. He held up a his hand in surrender.
"I'm sorry Riki but you know you fell in, and blamed me so... I did the only thing that was safe for my health. I ran. You know how you get." The male stuttered out. The girl now identified as Riki growled.
"Lies, you called that wave upon me on purpose! You knew it would wake me up! You could treat me better you know!" She yelled! The boy winced and said
"so maybe I did, it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm sorry please forgive me!" The glowing slowly died down the girl sighed. Just the gems on her hands flared up again. The girl was now dry.
"Sorry I may have overreacted... It has been along time coming. Enzo, what is going to happen next? Our friends are all scattered to the winds, and we... we might not even come back from this." Riki spoke softly now, her eyes shone with hesitation. The boy, Enzo, eyes widened and walked over to Riki. He pulled her over to the edge of the forest, the forest was just beyond the village. He sat her down on a log and followed suit. The logs they were sitting on form a heptagon. The forest floor was mossy and the scenery with the setting sun shining through the branches. The trees levels were brown, red, and orange. Enzo turned to look at Riki.
"Riki look I don't know what comes next for us after this I just know we have to try our best to though it. Right now it seems so dark but we are fight so people won't have to suffer like we have. I believe the light will shine once again." He told Riki. His smile was soft but yet sad. Riki looked at him with eye that showed hope.
"Look Enzo, I want to do something, I want to record our story so far. I... I don't want to be forgotten by the people we knew. Please." She said. Her eyes once again held a fire and determination. Enzo looked at her and thought
"She will never be a memory. She will never be forgotten, she has nothing to worry about. Although I would do anything for her." Riki look up at Enzo waiting for an answer. Enzo gave her a nod. Her smile lit up the world.
She stared by taking out a yellow crystal. Hey own gems began to glow. She started to tell her story.
"I live in world that was not this one, one that was decidedly boring."
