"Are you excited for tomorrow night," I asked Erin

"Totally! Me and Jarred are going to do it tomorrow," Erin whispered so I slapped her arm. "What? It's about time you know. And what better person to give my vcard than to the man I love right?"

She has been thinking about this since the day Jarred said I love you to her, it took her a week to have the courage and say it back to him. And now she is really going to do it.

We continued to walk and I let out a big sign. She looked at me directly giving me a confused. " I just wish Matty's here. I really miss him."

"Speaking of Matt, How's he?"

"I don't know. He said he got in the basketball team there. We never really talk that much anymore ever since school started."

"He's just way too busy with school. Everything will be back to normal once he's fully adjusted," Erin said and I just nodded.

We entered the cafeteria and grab some food then to our table.

"Hey guys" they all nodded and I sat beside Seth. "Hey Seth. Can we hang by your place tonight. I haven't seen Momma Jacks in forever."

"Problems at home. I'll ask you to come over when the problems are gone, eh?" Seth said and I just nodded.

"I can't wait for tomorrow. It's going to be the biggest party of the year! I think we should get ready together," Claire said.

"what is this? Prom?" Anna said.

"Ohh don't be such a buzz kill Anna. It would be fun," Erin said.

"Totally. Ooh and my dad's going to Milan this weekend. We can get ready on my house," I suggested.

"Great. I'll tell Bruce to come pick me up at your place," Claire said. We all shot her knowing looks. "What?"

"Are you two back together?" Erin asked.

"Best friends remember?"

Buy you never invite him in a party before. Let alone come together and even ask him to pick you up after the breakup. You said it will be weird," I said.

"I don't know? Uhm, Maybe getting there?" Claire said and we just nodded understanding their totally weird and complicated relationship.

"So Seth, are you coming tomorrow, the guys and I are heading to the pizza shack before going to the party," Jarred said.

"Aren't you going to pick me up," Erin said with a pout on her face.

"I will babe, we'll just hang in the Pizza shack to pass time. Text me and we'll pick you girls up at Cathy's," Jarred explained to Erin.

"I'm not going," Seth said gaining all of our attention.

"What? You can't, it'll be like your congratulatory party for being this year's captain," I whined.

"yeah dude. And since when did you resist getting drunk in a party," Jarred said.

"I'm not really on the party mood."

"I'll think about it. "

"Yay! Thankyou! You're the best friend a girl can ever have," I said throwing my arms around him.

"I didn't say yes yet."

"Yes you did and thank you," I said then kissed his cheek.

I got home after practice and saw dad with his luggage going down the stairs.

"Hey dad, I though you are going to leave tomorrow morning?"

"Change of plans. I'll call you when I land. You sure you don't wanna come?"

"I'm good. Can we just have dinner before you leave?"

"Sure princess"

Maria made us dinner and we all ate together. Dad told me all of his plans for this weekend about some European investors and I told him my plans for this weekend which is basically just about the party. After 30 minutes dad left and I just went to my room and did all my homework. Not to be a nerd but I am running for valedictorian. I just finished my Physics homework when my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"hello Cathy?" It was Matty. God I miss his voice.

"Hey Baby, How was school?"

"Good. Uhm, We need to talk."

I giggled then said, "Aren't we talking already Baby?"

"Yeah. But uh?"

"Matty, What's wrong?"

"This long distance relationship is not really working for me. I think we should break up."

"What? No Matt, we could try harder. Please?" I said. My eyes are staring to water.

"Please Cathy. Don't make this harder than it already is."

(Hey Baby, Who are you talking to?), I heard from the other end of the line.

"Who the hell was that Matthew?"

"Listen, I gotta go. Sorry Cathy."
