"Wake up Aubrey! Wake up!" I was woken up abruptly from my sleep by Harry who was forcefully shaking me around.
"What's going on? What's happening?" I asked and my heart started to race. Were we in trouble?
"Sh, don't worry, nothing dangerous is happening. The boys are out doing a job, and Danielle and Perrie are shopping for groceries, but we need to get into lockdown because cops are outside sniffing around." Harry told me quietly and I nodded.
I threw the blanket over the bed and get to quickly and changed into sweatpants and a tee shirt. I slipped on my shoes and followed Harry into the basement.
"Are the boys and girls going to come back while the cops are here?" I asked, worried about their safety.
"I already called them all and told then to stay away for now and I'll call them when the coast is clear" Harry told me and I nodded.
Harry punched in the code and he threw open the vault door with ease. He ushered me inside and he slammed the door shut and we went into the first room on the left.
"What do you guys usually do when cops are outside digging around?" I asked.
"Well, we just talk usually. There's nothing special down here and we don't get a phone signal, just the tv over there with the surveillance system is the only piece of technology that works in all this steel." Harry explained.
"Let's play 20 questions!" I suggested, eager to know more about the boy.
"Um...okay." Harry said after careful deliberation. "You start."
"Where do you come from?" I asked a simple question to get the game started.
"I used to live in New Jersey before my parents sent me down here. I'll be honest with you and say I was a drug addict as a teenager and there was a rehab facility down here they sent me to. I got clean and just decided to stay down here because there were less influences around me." he told me quietly.
"How did you get into this...business?" I asked. I was so curious.
"It's my turn to ask you a question now Aubrey" he laughed and I sighed.
"Have you ever had a boyfriend?" My face turned pink at this question, I've never even looked at a boy romantically.
"Nah, I never really had a chance to. There were some crushes, but I never acted on it because my parents would crucify me if I ever dated anyone but a surgeon." I said. Damn I was such a loser, who is 18 years old and never even kissed a boy?
"So, how did you get into this business?" I asked again seeing it was my turn.
"I used to work for a guy after I completed rehab. He did so well doing what I'm doing that I had to get into it. Louis and I really started it, and when we started to grow we added on Niall, Liam, and Zayn. Soon, the girls were hired and then you came along. We've been here in Miami for about 5 years now. We're the most feared gang in Miami." He told me and I snorted.
"What? What's so funny?" he asked with a frown.
"You boys and girls are literally the nicest people I know and it's just hard to imagine you being feared by people!" I said and Harry smirked at me.
"You've never seen us in action." he told me and I thought I saw something in his eyes as he got up and stood next to me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, his look was starting to make me feel uncomfortable.
"Get up." he ordered. His voice was laced with anger and his eyes were dark and I couldn't see what he was thinking. I stood up, and I'll admit it now, I was scared.
He grabbed my wrists and he pinned me against the wall and I grunted in pain.
"Harry, what are you doing?" I asked, my voice small and weak.
He didn't answer as he restrained me to the wall with a cord of rope and he tied it tightly and it felt like it was cutting through my wrists.
"Harry, where are you going?" I asked as he opened the door and walked out without a word.
I was alone now in a vault tied to the wall with no one around to even hear me. I felt the familiar constricting feeling in my chest, my claustrophobia taking a grip and my anxiety shooting up. I felt like I couldn't breathe and the tears started to come down my face and my chest was heaving up and down. I don't even know how long I was screaming when I heard foot steps outside but I couldn't concentrate on that when it felt like a rock was crushing me.
I felt pair of hands grabbing at my wrists and I was heaved up into someone's chest but I still couldn't breathe, I felt like I was going to pass out.
"Breathe Aubrey, just breathe. It's okay, we're all here now and you're not hurt. You're safe." A voice told me and I took a deep breathe and I could breath. My heart was still hammering in my chest and I couldn't lift my head up. A hand was rubbing my back.
"What the fuck happened here?" I recognized the voice as Louis'.
"I..I don't know!! I was just messing around with her and she freaked out! I couldn't calm her down!" Harry said, he sounded full of remorse.
"Harry you're an ass! What happened if she stopped breathing? Panic attacks are dangerous!!" Zayn told him, but their voices were calm and collected, they didn't want to argue.
"Come on Aubs, let's get you upstairs." Perrie said and she guided me away from the terrible room.
The last thing I heard before I left was a soft "I'm sorry" before I was led upstairs to bed.
