Raven ran, she ran from everything. She didn't care where she was going, but she knew she couldn't return home. She had lost control, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't forget that. What if next time she really killed someone? What if it was someone she cared about? Her breath was hard and fast. She stopped and looked around. A dark forest. She deserved to be alone. She was a monster. The leafless trees seemed to loom over her, casting dark shadows all around her. Raven could hear the crows calling out to each other, sending a chill down her spine. The forest itself seemed to be out to get her.

She'll be dark. Just like her father, she'll be the queen of all demons. She will lose control.

Raven looked around hearing the whispers "who's there?" Her voice shook as she looked around with wide eyes and black glowing hands. "Come out"

She's already loosing it. Thinking she's the good guy, what a laugh.

The whispers seemed to surround her, there was no escape. "I am a good guy!" She tried to tell them, while trying to convince herself as well.

You don't sound so sure of yourself, Raven, having a hard time believing yourself?

The taunting of the voices were unbearable. She couldn't see them therefore she couldn't attack. She turned as footsteps approached, her heartbeat quickened, and she struggled to keep calm. Keep your emotions under control Raven, you have to remember. This isn't real, it isn't real. She wrapped her arms around herself like she was trying to protect herself from the cold.

Lose control Raven, you know you can't control it. Always trying to be the good guy and yet you always fail. When your friends see what you really are do you think they'll still want to be friends with you? You're a demon Raven. You don't get to have friends and you get to do is destroy.

"NO!" Raven screamed and ran as tears ran down her face "This isn't real! None of this is real!" The voice laughed, she felt a wintery cold breeze rush by her.

oh, but it is my dear Raven. It's all too real

She didn't stop. Raven continued running. The shadows and the whispers tailed right at the end of her tattered, dark blue cloak. "Just please leave me alone!" She reached a cliffs edge. She raised her fist, which were glowing in black energy, ready to fight.

Look at you so eager to fight, so eager to kill just let it out.

The energy from Raven's hands disappeared. She looked down, "I won't fight, I won't kill" She growled and looked into the darkness, as it approached. "I won't let myself lose control"

Sorry to disappoint you, but you have no choice in the matter.

A loud, ear piercing shriek filled the air. Raven couldn't run, she couldn't move she couldn't even scream and she watched a shadow beast tear through the forest. It's lifeless red eyes glowing as it lurched towards her, fangs flashing and covered with dripping, purple ooze. It's long bloody claws able to slash the biggest trees with a single swipe of it's massive black, scarred hands. It let about a horrible roar, that chilled Raven's blood.

She tried to step back, but there was no where to run, no where to turn, and no one who was going to help her.

Welcome to the dark side Raven...

The beast launches itself at her, feeling the ground slip out from under her, and a sharp pain shooting through her body. She falls suddenly becoming weightless. She looks into the murky black water below her. Only it isn't water it is a pool of demons reaching out for her, laughing, and looking eagerly at her with their cruel red eyes. There was no escape, no reason to fight. She collided with them and felt herself being dragged under. She took a last look, the last she would see of this earth, and all she saw was the shadow beast, watching her being pulled away, with a bloody oozing smile.

When she awoke, her mind was a blur. Her cloak was now pitch black. She looked around, blood was every where, as were the demons. She grinned showing of her pointed teeth and walked out on the stone balcony, facing her father.

He looked at her with his yellow glowing eyes, meeting her blood red eyes. "are you ready to embrace your destiny?" He asked with a sinister smile on his face.

Slowly, she nodded her head. "yes, father I am ready" She looked down at the demons below, ready to open the portal to Earth.
