I walked through the door to Aleks' apartment, already wishing that I could collapse on the spot.  It wasn't often that I felt both mentally and physically drained, but tonight all I wanted was to rest.  I set my keys on the counter and walked into the hallway, letting the darkness start to lull me into unconsciousness before I had even reached my room.

I creaked open my door, and out of nowhere I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck.  It stopped me in my tracks.  I let out a small gasp, but the uneasyness only lasted a second before turning into a smile.  The room was pitch black, but I would have recognized him even with a blindfold on.

"Hey."  He said, playfully tugging at the curls on the nape of my neck.  It was such a simple little touch; the smallest of things that made my chest flutter.  It was precisely why I had let my usually short hair grow out.

I smiled wider and rested my hands on the small of his back, happy to see him after such an obnoxious day.  Well, not really see him.  I was still squinting, trying to focus on his outline in the darkness.  I could barely make out his deep brown, messy hair, and eyes that mirrored the color of his bangs perfectly. 

"Aleks, what exactly were you doing hiding in my closet?"  I asked.  He laughed, a tiny shake that I could feel through his shirt, and responded, "I wasn't in your closet. That's just fucked up. Nah, I was hiding behind the door."

I laughed, but after a moment my grin faded into the exhausted frown that I came in with.  I was suddenly hit with the day's events again, and the only thing they did was cause me annoyance.  My eyes stared past Aleks into the far wall, zoning out on a Dark Souls poster.  I felt a yawn building up already.

"Everything okay?" He asked, arms still laced around my neck.  I felt like staying this way forever, pressed cozily against Aleks with his head resting comfortably on my chest.  I was only a bit taller than him, probably about 3 inches at the most, but it made all the difference in the world.  He was the perfect height for moments like this.

"I guess. I'm just kind of annoyed. I lost three hours worth of a recording because I didn't capture the game's sound. Now it's just...gone. I'm really frustrated." I said bitterly, feeling like punching myself.  I had nothing left to post.  That recording was supposed to carry me throughout this entire trip to Colorado.  What was I supposed to do now?  The last thing I wanted was to intrude on our time just to make a few stupid videos.

"I'm sorry." He said.  My eyes were only a little adjusted to the lighting, but I could still make out his bottom lip pouting in concern.

It was probably the most adorable thing I had ever seen.

"I mean, I could try to help.." He said suddenly.  It was in a completely different tone, and I relished in his husky voice.  His grip around my shoulders tightened and he was there, even closer than before, nipping at my neck just above my shirt collar.  It took me only a second to realize that he wasn't talking about the recording.

"Aleks, I'm not really in the mood for games right now." I said, sighing.  It wasn't like I was rejecting him, I just knew how he was.  How he had been for the past seven months that we were together.  I didn't blame him for not being ready, and I certainly wasn't angry, it was just.. hard. 

Hard to control myself when we had reached a point where I shouldn't have to.

Aleks shook his head.  "Yeah, but the thing is, Kevin," he began, shifting so that he was hovering right next to my ear, near enough that I could feel his warm breath brush across my cheek.  His fingers clutched the front of my shirt, kneading it with a craving that I sensed was taking him over.
