I see you
Your tears- trains with passengers of pain
roll down familiar tracks that
Hold memories of brutal attacks
that most people see through facts and stats
That tell you you're a number not a person
Nice to meet you prisoner 2047
I see you,
dressed in black and white, the standard stripes
devoid of any hope
devoid of any life
thoughts fill your mind like who won't survive? who might?
Would you ever feel again happiness or delight?
It's nice to meet you prisoner 2047.
I see you
Your strong facade is breaking.
Your tired like limbs are wracked with aching
And your subconscious mind is trying to convince you that you smell your mothers baking.
But you don't.
Nice to meet you prisoner 2047.
I see you
Your eyes were supposedly those of spies
And spies with those eyes obviously have to die
You know what is the truth and what is a lie
Nice to meet you prisoner 2047
I see you
skin and bone, rotting away with fatigue
You stand feeling alone
But you are in the company of thousands.
I'm sorry for the manipulation you faced throughout it all
and sorry that you ended up with your back against the wall
Every movement leaves you crying out with a moan
The way you died was brutal, an atrocity that no one should condone.
Your death was a murder, and your story should be recalled in a mournful tone.
Because I still mourn the loss of you,
It would have been nice to meet you prisoner 2047
