Hey my Remember’ers,
Please do bear in mind that this book is a sequel to my first book, ‘He was my best friend’.
I really hope you enjoy this book as much as the last, i can promise that this book and the ideas i have for it are more action packed and drama filled than the first instalment of this series.

*Jennifer’s POV*
I walked into our room and slammed the door, closing my eyes just long enough to take a deep breath and exhale. I felt my fists clench at my sides although I knew I was more scared than upset, I mean of course Kamron and I had fought before, but it’s never been bad enough for him to grab me like that.
I did him a favour, I could have woken him up this morning and said that he had to go, but instead I let him sleep in. He looked so tired from the run he had last night to check the perimeter that I decided it would be best if he slept.
Of course my wolf was upset that her mate had reacted that way towards her, but she had other emotions that were stronger.. Not fear nor anger nor hatred.. I couldn’t really peg the exact emotion at the time, but as I heard the faint sound of Logan making his way up the steps, I set aside my thoughts and hurried towards my cupboard.
Knowing Bree, she’d most likely want some baggy clothes. She’d dress fancy for weddings and dates and clubs and of course the occasional girls night out, but she liked to be comfortable at home, and seeing that she has a lot of recovering to do I think it would be best if she was comfortable. It was a bit chilly and outside it was cloudy and a cold wind blew through the air. Normally, us werewolves were warmer and didn’t really get effected by cold weather, but Bree has lost a lot of blood and she’ll be cold for a while.
I grabbed a pair baggy sweatpants, a tank top and a sweater. Of course she’d need underwear and some uhgs. I picked up the clothes I’d gathered for Bree off the bed and made my way to her room.
“You have to eat something,” I heard Logan whisper just before I knocked on the door. “Come in,” he replied. I opened the door and saw Logan sitting on the edge of the bed, with Bree rolled on her side, facing the other way.
“Hey Bree,” I said and she immediately turned around. She climbed out of bed and Logan was quick to her side, making sure she wouldn’t accidently stumble or lose her balance. “I’m fine.” She snapped at him and I could see the look of hurt on his face. He still remained close enough to catch her if anything should happen despite her demands.
She wrapped her arms around me and I quickly handed over the clothes to Logan, who happily took them and placed them on the bed. “How are you feeling?” I asked her, taking a step back to examine the colour of her face. She wasn’t as pale as last night but she still had dark rings under her eyes. “I’m fine,” she said quickly, struggling not to sway where she stood.
“No,” Logan said loudly, “She’s not.”
“I’m fine.” Bree replied sternly, glaring at Logan over her shoulder to where he stood by the bed.
Logan’s eyes softened and his shoulders sank. I could tell Logan really cared about her, but Bree didn’t know him and Bree never really took kindly to strangers. “Logan, could you please give us some girl time? I really haven’t had a chance to catch up with Bree yet.” I asked him. Logan nodded and quickly left the room, brushing his hand along Bree’s back as he walked past her, stopping by the door only to say, “I’ll be back soon, okay?”
Bree nodded and turned to face me. I heard the door slide shut and I helped Bree towards the bed so that she could sit down. “Bree,” I said softly and her eyes flickered to mine quickly and then away again. “I need to know how you’re feeling?”
