Sigh, the first day of hell, a.k.a high school.

Mum told me im going to be attending North Cull high, since middle school people have been discussing what high school their going to and who's going with them, but I never had that 'best friend' that you do everything with and tell all your secrets to. I have always been that quiet girl in the corner taking notes and getting good grades in school and I didnt mind that, I was always one to like peace and quiet.

I got up, packed my things, and spent half a hour just trying to pick out what to wear. Why is being a girl so hard? you always have to find out something that matches, I would love to go out in my PJ's and my hair in a bun. But guess that's not how it works in this society, people here judge you no matter what you do. Finally I found a cute black tank top that had 'Desired Death' written on it. One of my fav shirts to be honest, black has always been my favorite color. I straightened my long, brown, and tangled hair then put on my eyeliner and a bit of foundation, I grabbed my blue jeans from the closet along with a pair of black socks and dark purple vans. I was never a 'girly' I always had my own style, which was jeans, and a t-shirt, I guess that's why I was considered wierd by almost all the guys at my school, that and the fact that I never fit in, all those girls, who are considered 'populars' by some, just didnt like me. However I am fine with that, because I simply didn't care.

I pulled on a light jacket and zipped it up halfway to cover up my waist. I wasn't 'slim' like the popular girls, I had some meat on me but I wasn't fat either, just a bit curvy from the waist and I wasn't a big fan of it.  But at least I wouldn't be considered a slut like the others were. I was gutted about my first day and felt like summer went by to fast but hey, doesn't it feel like that every year?

I grabbed my keys and headed off to school in my car, it wasn't all fancy and shit because I wasn't that rich in money, but it would do.

When I got to school I parked at the far left corner of the parking lot and headed into the building. I saw some faces I recognized and saw them wave at me, I waved back and went to my first session. Maths. I walked in and saw that there were only 7 students sat there, talking among themselves, I sighed in relief and comfortably walked to the end of the room to take a seat.

When class started I saw there were a few populars in my class and ignored them while they flirted with each other. The guys were rubbish at flirting and the girls giggled at everything the guys said. It was sickening to look at but I managed through. When the bell rang everyone walked out in pairs or groups trying to find out which other classes they had with their friends. I went to my 2nd session of the day, literature. To my inconvenience, the teacher had specific seats already jotted down, I was sat down next to a girl named Katie, I hadn't seen her before, she may have been new. She also had brown hair and a beautiful face, she acted though as if she were shy but I tried to talk to her since she seemed nice

'Hi, im Angela'

'Uhmm, hi, im Katie'

I smiled gently at her, she had a Welsh accent 'I haven't seen you around, are you new?'

'Yeah, first year here in New Orleans, and I take it that you have been here for a while, any tips?'

I chuckled at her correct assumption 'yeah, since I was 5 unfortunately, and apart from the numerous bars and shitty people at this school I assure you, you have absolutely nothing to worry about'

she laughed 'ahh, I see,' she smiled 'well thankyou for that introduction about this area'

'Don't mention it' I smiled and turned back around to hear what the teacher was saying about bringing extra supplies to class from tomorrow.  After the bell rang everyone got up and rushed out the door to meet up with their friends, I got up and started towards the door

'Hey, uhm... Angela?'

I turned around to see Katie was standing behind me with a confused look plastered on her face.

'Yeah?'

'Do you know where ....Mr.Temmer's room is?'

I looked at the schedule in my hands and saw that I had the same teacher for my next session, room 45, science. 'Yeah, its room 45, I have the same class next, wanna walk together? '

Katie smiled at me

'Yes please'

I smiled at her and we both walked out of the room and into the hallway, after Mr.Temmer's session me and Katie had 2 more classes and we got to know each other more, turns out she's originally from England,  explains the accent. She also likes the same music as I do, metal. I guess this year wont be that bad after all.
