Remember how in Chapter 1, I mentioned how some straight-out flaws can be written off as Alt. His.? Let me sarcastically clap my hands for you. You managed to deus ex machina your way out of criticism.
To me, writing some BS off as alternate history, at least without explaining the hell out of the cultural or political impacts this change has on the scenario's world, is a load of garbage. That's like microwaving a couple hot pockets for your significant other with cut-out valentines hearts strung up and calling it a """"romantic"""" dinner.
No. That simply would not happen. Unless you're a poor schmuck and that actually would be a romantic dinner.
No, if your main character is a fool. That has to show. You can't just dismiss this as a "oh it's just always been that way". No, if usually extraordinary features are present on your main character and just expected, explain why. And if not everybody looks like a special snowflake, then you don't have alternate history.
