The weekend was so fun. Me and Maggie hung out at my house since my mom had to work on the weekend. We ate junk foods and talked about her mom's new job and her brother. We took Ruby for a walk and she slept over. But sadly it is Monday and I am running out of the house with a bagel in one hand and my shoes and backpack in the other. Ruby was sleeping on my alarm clock and I didn't hear it until she rolled off of it and it sounded like a bomb about to go off with its high speed beeping.
"Woke up late?" Toby said as he grabbed my bag and tossed it in the back seat.
"Yes! Ruby was sleeping on my alarm clock," I said with a mouth full of bagel and while putting on my shoes.
He laughed, "Go Ruby."
"It's not funny! She totally could have let me sleep until you pulled up to the house!"
"And that's why it's funny."
"So how was your weekend?"
"It was alright I guess, Jasper had what's-her-face over for dinner Saturday and Sunday night." He rolled his eyes.
"Oh, fun?"
"Yeah not really."
At school I hardly saw Jasper anymore. As I was walking down the hall during studyhall to meet Mike and Maggie I was pulled into a closet.
"What the hell!" I yelled and throwing my arms in all directions.
"Jacee! Shit, ow! Stop!" I heard Jasper yell as he flipped on the lights.I gasped.
"Jasper what the hell?!" I said as I punched him in the arm, hard.
"Ow!"
"That's what you get. Now talk."
"Well I just haven't talked to you since like last week." He leaned against the wall and ran his fingers through his hair.
"So you could have called not dragged me into the closet like a killer."
"Yeah I know sorry, but Farrah was like watching me all weekend I could barely even get a moment to myself."
"Whatever, look I just need to go study now, I am hanging out with Mike and Maggie. Call me later."
The day went by slowly. And in history Jasper and I were passing notes the whole class, I know so elementary. But it is the only class we have together.
Toby took me home after school but this time he took a longer way.
"Where are we going?"
"We are taking the scenic route," and we passed underneath treetops and it was very, scenic? It was pretty. We passed by a lake and there we boats and ducks all swimming around. I looked over at Toby who was smiling and looking very relaxed.
"Do you drive here a lot?" I rolled down the window and let the cool wind blow my hair away from my face.
"Yeah, well everyonce in a while," He smiled at me. I closed my eyes and let the sun rest on my skin while the wind blew my hair around. Before I knew it we had stopped, in front of my house.
"Oh thanks for the ride, again, bye." I waved from my doorstep and he drove away.
I was drying my hair that night when my phone went off, I ran over and picked it up and landed on my bed on my tummy, "Hello?"
