"Tali. You have to get up. Tali please." Tali heard the panic in her mother's voice and was instantly awake. Three AM. Something was definitely wrong. She sat up. "Come watch this newscast."
"Why are they newscasting at 3AM?" Her mother shook her head as if she couldn't bear to put what was happening into words. She rushed Tali to her bedroom and before they even reached it Tali heard the fear in the newscaster's voice. Fear. In a newscaster's voice. Who were trained to stay calm. That's when she knew this was big.
"... they say we have three days." Tali heard as she walked into the room. Three days until what? Then she saw the headline. And the blood drained out of her face.
