Once their land had glowed with such beautiful light. Seas of emerald grass covered the fields, hills, and mountains. Patches of flowers of all colors were scattered all through out the land spreading their magnificent scents through out. Seas, oceans and other bodies of water salt and fresh, shallow and that of unfathomable depth, with the lightest blue and the darkest contain unimaginable possibilities of adventure that can stretch as far as eternity itself. The azure sky was covered in pristine cotton like clouds formed in all shapes and sizes that one could imagine. At dawn the sun would climb the azure sky showering the world with its warm golden light, giving life to all creatures of the earth, those who crawl, those that slither, those that walk and those that do not choose to move. When dusk comes, the sun sinks into the horizon, painting the scenery with its golden light showing the world in new light. The darkness comes but do not fear for the moon and the stars will guide your way. The moon with its soft silver light caressing the world with its gentle touch. It illuminates people in the darkness without harming them and helping them see the dangers of the night. The stars serve as guides for those who are awake and those who dream. The starry sky serves as a map for those travelers who have lost their way in the midst of darkness. Those dreamers who long for hope are provided with the hope brought by a star's light. By dawn as the sun rises once more to greet the world with its warm light. Humans and animals were content with their lives. Living off the things that the world had blessed them with but slowly humans became more greedy, more selfish and shallower. They wanted more, they started to become cruel and started creating wars. This saddened the sun and the moon. They fled taking the stars with them. Gradually the world was consumed by the darkness and the bitter cold. The eternal darkness had begun. Death slowly crept through the land. Creatures of the world started to suffer and die. The humans consumed by desperation did what they could to survive even to the point of using others. One day after countless days of suffering, a comforting sound rang out from the darkness. A sweet voice came from a young lady the age of 16. She had started singing a prayer at the top of her voice, hoping that somehow the sun and moon would hear her plea. For days she sung without end, pleading without stopping for a second. Tears flowed from her eyes. Sadness over flowed from her heart but she could not stop. She will continue her plea for as long as it may take. After a few more days her body gave in. Her frail weakened body fell to the cold hard ground. Slowly her sight became blurred. She drew her last breathe and continued her song. Her tune slowly faded into the wind. The sun and moon had now known that they had ignored her plea for too long. Feeling guilty they decided to return to the world she had loved so much and bring back light and warmth to to it. The world once more regained its brilliant light but now because of regret the world did not have the same amount of warmth as before.
