I
❝To say that it was love at first sight seemed illogical at first.
How could one possibly say that they have truly fallen in love with someone based solely on their looks?❞
That was what crossed my mind as I sat across from my best friend Allie, finding it impeccably hard to look away from the stranger whose eyes had just met mine.
I couldn't deny that he had the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. Or the fact that his eyes seemed to get shinier the longer I stared. However, as I felt a hand on my arm, I was forced to look away too soon.
"What are you so busy looking at?" Allie asked, turning around. But I stopped her before she was able to set eyes on the stranger, suddenly feeling the urge to protect his beauty from her, as if he was a secret.
"It's nothing," I managed to lie, taking a sip of my drink.

Too soon, our night at the bar ended and we walked outside to the coolness of the night. I pulled my scarf closer to my neck as a breeze swirled past us.
"It's cold tonight," Allie said, adjusting her jacket. I nodded.
We were walking towards the parking lot where I had parked, when someone bumped into me. I stumbled on my feet, almost falling to the ground, until the person placed their arms around me to keep me steady.
I looked up and I was surprised to see that it was the same stranger I had seen earlier.
"Oh, it's you," I heard myself say, as if I knew who he was. I watched as his lips turned into a smile.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey."
"I'm Bradley," he introduced himself.
"Mia," I replied with my name. His smile widened, causing mine to do the same as he continued to look at me and me at him.
"Would you like to grab a coffee sometime?" he asked.
"But I don't drink coffee," I told him.
He chuckled softly.
"Me neither."
[A/N: Can anyone guess where their little exchange about coffee is from?]
