When the train stopped, thousands of refugees crossed the quay. Most of them took the same way, to the South. Amongst them, an old lady, Park Shin-Hye, was trying to follow the group. Thankfully, most of them were starving and very tired, unlike her. She knew it wasn't a good thing to think like this, but it was for her own survival. The refugees walked for hours and Park Shin-Hye soon lost her small advantages. She hadn't eaten for a day long and her feet were hurting a lot. She was imagining her unsafe future, when suddenly her foot rolled over a rock and her back violently hit the ground. She thought no one would help her, but a young lady came to rescue her. She presented herself. She was 21 years old and she lost her husband and her only son in a bomb attack. Her aim was to reach her uncle's house, in Pusan. On the contrary, Park Shin-Hye didn't have a family anymore. She wasn't even sure if her friends were still alive. Soon, the two ladies became good friends. They were friendly chatting, when all of a sudden, a man's voice shouted :

- "A farm ! There ! Down the hill !"

Score of refugees began to run as fast as they could in a complete uproar. Children and young adults were far ahead of the decreasing group. Then adults, sometimes accompagnied with babies, were trying to go as fast as the young ones. Behind all those people, some disabled people like ParkShin-Hye were doing their best to follow the group. The old lady was alone. As soon as the youngest lady understood what was going on, she abandoned her new friend. But Park Shin-Hye wasn't mad at her. She knew that in order to have a shelter to sleep in, the young girl had to betray the middle-aged woman.

Park Shin-Hye was breathless. Her whole body hurted and she wasn't even feeling her feet anymore. Her fall had weakened her. As she was seeing the first refugees arrive at the farm, she began to cry. She knew she had no chance to reach the shelter in time but she was still hoping to succeed. One foot at a time, slowly, she was progressing. When she figured out there was no place in the house anymore, her last hopes were gone. Park Shin-Hye felt a strong feeling of powerlessness. This night, she was going to sleep outside.
