It was another day in the life of Janette Wickens , a college graduate , looking for work . She had just finished police academy , and was eager and ready to start her career as an enforcer of the law . The only problem was , no police station would take her in .
She had little to no experience dealing with criminals , and was just about as deadly and a sloth having a spaz attack . But she was head strong , and never gave up . She had a heart of gold .
She finally managed to find work at the LAPD .But the work was tough . She was working with criminals who's psycho passes had become cloudy . They could not go back to society with the things they had experienced . So instead they were forced to help take down other criminals . Everyone was given an annihilator. And annihilator is an ingenious weapon used to stun an even kill a criminal . It detects the psycho pass of criminals and send the data back to the police using special contact lenses .
The criminal they were hunting down toady was a convivted rapist and mass murderer . He uses brutal and gory techniques to kill and dismember his victims . He wasn't too hard to find . The police heard screams coming from the 3rd floor of an abandoned block of flats . He was found with a woman next to him , with a corkscrew protruding fro nthe back of her head . Janette almost fainted at the sight of such a brutal crime . The annihilator was immediately put in to ' terminate' mode , meaning whoever was shot would be blasted into a million pieces . She took aim , but the criminal got away . She heard noises coming from the other side of the room . She thought it was the murderer , so she fired . Is wasn't the murderer . It was someone else .
