A/N: Hello, this is just a little blurb of something I was thinking about starting. Please read it and let me know if I should continue (: Btw, this is NOT a werewolf story at all or anything in relation. It is strictly a human story. It is just a title, people and titles can be decieving sometimes ;) and the photo to the right is suppose to be Noah, since you have no idea how he'll look, while the other characters have been casted)
Chapter One
"I've got those small town blues, babe." I sighed, my head sitting in my hand as I gazed out the classroom window. I placed my reddish hair behind my ear as I went deep into thought.
Ever had one of those moments where you just want to pack a bag and run away? Run away as far as possible? I have those thoughts every possible moment of the day. I want to see what the world is made up of. I want to be rebellious. But I can't. My parents would probably have my head on a plate if they found out I had decided to run away.
My parents grew up as simple minded people- stick in the mud type of parents. They grew up with friends that had once been considered wild children. They knew of that life and have forbidden me to ever resemble their chaotic, reckless, and free-spirited friends. They see it as evilness. And I didn't understand why they could not let their only child, me, Jude Hastings, live freely. My parents never wanted a girl, that's why they named me "Jude". They were suppose to have a boy, that's why my baby walls were blue, and a majority of my clothes. They loved The Beatles and that song, 'Hey, Jude.' So I ended up with a boy name. So lovely.
It was ridiculous.
I live in a city named Oasis. It was one of those moderately busy cities with semi-tall buildings, graffiti colored walls, and dark alley-ways. It was so pop culture that it was somewhat inspiring and beautiful. Although I love living here in way, I want to leave. I want to go to California, or London, maybe Italy. Somewhere different. But I was stuck here, staring outside the classroom window, watching the football players practice out on the freshly trimmed field of my school.
"Jude?" I snapped out of my daydream and looked in the direction of which my name was called. I saw my best friend, Clare, looking at me with her curious green eyes. "Huh?" I whispered to her. "You okay?" She asked me in a hushed tone, while our English teacher Ms. Oscars lectured. I nodded quickly.
"Just thinking." I mumbled back.
I looked around the class room. I was looking around at everyone's bored expressions, as they tried to keep their eyes open. I yawned, and then fixed the bottom of my purple fitted sweater. I was distracted for the rest of the class time, and I was more than happy to hear the bell, signaling lunch.
"Thank god," I whispered and grabbed my bag. I walked out of class with Adi. "Listen, Jude, I can't eat lunch with you, today." She said and bit her lip as we entered the hallway.
I gave her a strange look. "Why?" I asked her, as we walked to my locker. "Todd wants to hangout." She smiled knowingly. Todd was this guy she was interested in. I nodded with indifference. "I'll see you after school, then, Clare." I said to her with a smile. She kissed my cheek goodbye and strutted off with excitement.
I switched out my books and checked my appearance in the mirror of my locker. My brown eyes stared back at me, as I finished fixing my hair and then closed my locker shut.
I walked outside and sat at a picnic table under a large oak tree. I brought out a brown paper bag filled with my lunch from my bag. I began to eat my apple and drink my water.
"Hey, Jude!" I looked up and saw my three other friends come join me; Max, Beth, and Kai; she had such a pretty name. They all had trays and gladly sat down, ready to munch on their lunches. I smiled at them, "Hey, guys." I began to giggle, enjoying the company.
