To say Draco was distracted would be an understatement; he couldn't focus for two seconds. She was the reason. Somehow she had been the only thing he had on mind.
▪▪▪
Distraction: A thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else. In Draco's dictionary, if you look at that particular word, a picture of Hermione Granger and those hypnotizing brown eyes of her will stare back at you.

She's everywhere now, not that he's complaining. Who wouldn't want to see such a beauty daily? An idiot apparently.
Suddenly, out of nowhere she hears him say something that has been tugging at the back of his mind for a while, "Draco." He blurted out.
His sudden speech surprised her, considering the fact that he's been staring at her for two hours straight without uttering a single word. She tucked a stray lock of her dark brown hair behind her ear and looked up from the books across her lap, smiling brilliantly at him, "What?" she then took the books away and came closer to his bed.
"Draco," he said again and shuffled to sit in a better angle, "You called me Draco back in class."
Hermione felt the blood rise to her face, so she hid her face in her hair in an attempt to hide her blush and beamed to herself. She noticed she had failed to yet say anything, so she looked up again to find pure amusement in those stormy grey eyes, "Oh." She said, still hiding behind a curtain of brown curls.
"Come on Granger. Enough studying, I'm bored. You haven't done anything but study this past week and it gets bloody boring after the first two days. I mean, thank you for doing my assignments and all, but can you please with a little cherry on top stop for tonight and actually try and communicate with me?" Hermione took one single look at his pleading eyes and sighed in defeat. She sat at the end of the bed, which was, dare she say very uncomfortable but she didn't want to move again because she doubted that one shift would help. Years of misadventures with Ron and Harry and countless trips to the hospital wing taught her that these beds were awful.
Draco wasn't oblivious to all this, so he moved, and patted the space beside him to invite her and sit beside him. Hermione being the shy type around Draco, immediately refused in a polite tone, saying that she was comfortable. But Draco called that bullshit, so she glared at him until he hissed and clutched his chest in pain.
Hermione panicked and rushed to his side taking his face in her hands. Her eyes searched for any sign that might tell her what is wrong. Draco however, was up to a little Slytherin trick. The second she became within his reach, he leaped forward and trapped her between him and the bed, pinning her hands above her head with his left hand, and balancing himself using his right one. They were way too close to each other for her liking, but Draco was blissfully grinning above her. Heck he would remain like that all night if he could- even though he knew that after a few minutes it would get uncomfortable and probably painful as well. But Draco wasn't a 'Forever' kind of person. He loved to live the moment, so he didn't move but he just smiled at her and watched her face go from surprised to annoyed to shy to daring all in a few seconds. These sudden changes in her features made him chuckle quietly to himself, then he moved from atop of her and lied down next to her on the right side of the bed.
