Seraphina reminiscences the blinding hot pain she felt. She remembered falling from the clouds, she remembered being laughed at as she fell, the embarrassment that brought her face to flames, she remembered the way she saw the white light, but instead of it being comforting it was unbearable.

"Sera!" Alliana screamed at Seraphina from the kitchen. Seraphina grunted. She knew she had to get ready for school, but she didn't want to! Seraphina had been home schooled since forever, she wasn't ready for new people.

She never went to school because of her "problem" as Alliana called it, but Alliana also said that she needed to 'get out there'.

"Sera! Change! Fix up!" Dakota yelled. Dakota was Seraphina's adoptive father. Alliana was her adoptive mother. They were also both nothing like her. It wasn't that she didn't like them, but they treated her like she was a normal kid and she wasn't.

Seraphina sighed. She opened her big closet and walked in. She sighed as she looked at all of her custom made clothing. Sure, it was good to be comfortable, but all it showcased was her "problem".

She looked around and figured it would be safer to choose something that makes her appear peaceful. She took out simple ripped jeans, and tanish short ankle boots. She choose a simple white shirt with the word 'INTERESTING' in a deep blue across the front. That was definitely a understatement.

She moved to her bathroom, and put her hair in a pony tail. She looked at herself for a moment and let her hair rest back on her shoulders. She repeated this action many times trying to decide which one looked best.

"Sera! Hurry up! You're gonna be late!" Dakota yelled.

Seraphina let her hair loose and brushed it carefully. "Done?" She whispered to herself in the mirror and rushed to the kitchen. She sighed. She was so used to waking up whenever she felt like, but now she had people looking at her, judging her. "Done!" She called as she ran down the stairs.

"Finally, hurry it up, hun." Alliana rushed Seraphina. Alliana shoved ten dollars at her. "Eat lunch."

Dakota shoved a piece of toasted bread at Seraphina. They pushed her out to the entrance of the house and handed her her backpack. They gave her a white sweater just in case. They both kissed her on her cheek, and hurriedly closed the door.

"Well now I'm forced into the real world." Seraphina muttered. She felt secluded. She had to walk to school. She was really tempted to do something that was completely against Alliana's and Dakota's wishes. She felt like everyone would stare at her and make fun of her. She hated attention, and all she did was bring attention.

She flexed her wings, and she jumped into the air soaring as high as the human sight could go. She didn't care if her adoptive parents approved. She rushed through the clouds and spun. She didn't want to be stared at. In three minutes, Seraphina reached the school. She went back a block and found a place to land without anyone seeing her.

"I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. I can't do this. I can do this." Seraphina sighed defeatedly. She couldn't just push herself into a dark place. She needed a supportive push, even with that she didn't want to go. She didn't know how she was going to make it. She started to walk quickly with her head down hoping no one would notice her.

Nonetheless, the whispering started to flood the school. She tucked her wings around her burning face as everyone quieted down and discreetly pointed. Her wings felt cramped and in pain, but she didn't want to let them stretch out lest people think she was putting on a show.

"Hey! Angel girl, wait!" Seraphina sighed once she head her new nickname. A girl with her hair in ponytails on both sides of her neck ran up to Seraphina. Her ponytails swung back and forth. The girl reminded Seraphina of one of the stereotypical anime characters.
