It was just another day of work. Steve was ready to solve another case. Steve was the boss of an hawaiian task force, he was a NAVY SEAL, but he prefers not talking about that time of his life, he lived some dark moments, he was even forced to leave the SEAL because of an ex girlfriend, Catherine, who found out his biggest weakness. Steve was gay. In the NAVY SEAL, no weaknesses were allowed and Steve forced himself to leave before it got public.
"McGarrett. I'm on my way" he said, while he was already driving but now he was directed to the crime scene.
That haunted Steve, day after day, the idea of someone finding out would make him go crazy. So crazy that he left everything he had (not much) and moved to Hawaii. But he didn't go alone. He just didn't know yet.

"What happened?" - Steve asked. "30 year old woman, 1 shot in the head, shows signs of fighting back. Went to the Hawaii by herself" said Kono, Steve's workmate.
Chin, also part of the team, added: "just checked the vigilant cameras and it doesn't seem like she was alone, check this out".

Another day went by. Another case has been solved. Steve was heading home, feeling complete with his job yet incomplete with himself.

The sun was shining. Steve was on his way to another work day and got surprised when he arrived at his office. It looked like someone was waiting for him.
