Jade West

Yo! The name is Jade West and here's a little you need to know about meh! So I'm 17 years old, I'm a Junior in High School and it's  really crazy and hard but I have my wonderful and beautiful Friend Ruby!...well I sorta...kinda really love Ruby. Yyyyeeaaah um ya see I swing both ways. But anyway I got long black hair , crystal blue eyes and the average height for a girl. I'm a big nerd with super heroes and anime. I usually wear a black sweater and under is just a plain white shirt then some ripped up blue skinny jeans with my favorite black high top converse. So now a little back story. When I was eleven years old  I was greatest kid you could meet...so I've heard.  But even if I was the coolest and nicest kid you could know I still had no friends...I know I know weird and confusing but there was always this girl in class who was always really quiet but she was pretty and the smartest one in class. One day we had a rally that only the ones with good grades went to it so of course I didn't and she did. After school I walked to the cafeteria cuz I would wait for my mom there. I heard yelling and crying from the back of the cafeteria so I went to check it out. When I got there I saw the school bully and his friends laughing and pointing at someone on the floor "your such a loser. No wonder why you don't have any friends." One of them said. I looked down and saw it was the girl in my class I didn't really know her name so I called her pretty girl when no one was around, she got back up with a bloody nose crying "stop it please or..." the bully pushed her back down and said  "or what? No one is gonna help you. Your just a nobody" something made me snap when he called her a nobody I got really pissed off so I threw my backpack down just before he punched her again I blocked the punch for her but he hit me instead giving me a black eye, it hurt real bad but I didn't care.  "All you bullies do is pick on the ones your most jealous about and make them feel bad about themselves so you could feel good about yourselves. And you wanna know something..." I grabbed his shirt and pinned him to the wall and yelled at him "I really hate bullies like you!" I grabbed his arm and twisted it to his back and kicked to the ground "now if I see you and your  friends bullying her or anyone in this school I'll make you regret it! Ya hear that!" They all ran off and I turned to the girl and held out my hand down to her "hey it's ok their gone now. Umm let me help you up." She slowly grabbed my hand and looked up at me "thank you."   She was even prettier up close and I just smiled and said  "No need to thank me." I walked her to the nurse to get her bloody nose checked on. So the both of us sat there in silence "Ummm. The name is Jade West!" She looked at me and smiled "I'm Ruby, Ruby Jones."  I held out my fist "nice to meet ya Ruby" Ruby fist bumped mine "it's nice to meet you too."
After that my whole life change she became my best friend in the world. That same day I went home happy with a big smile and a black eye but it was fine. I got home to see a car outside my house. There was a lady standing in front of it with bright red lipstick and a bulldog paw tattoo on her arm with a really tight shirt with some shortie shorts. She looked really mad she honked the horn  "hurry the hell up!" I just walked inside and opened the door "I'm Home!"   But as always my welcome home was arguing...My dad yelling at my mom about stupid things again and I saw him storming down stairs smelling beer and weed "um hi dad." He turned to me quickly and yelled at me "what do you want!?" His breath stunk so bad it made my eyes water, his eyes were red cuz he was high again "you little shit. You ruined my life!" He grabbed by the face and pinned to the wall " I fuckin hate you. You were a mistake. I could've lived my life if it wasn't for you damn it!" He pulled me up tighten his grip on my face "I should of forced your mother into abortion. That way I could of left her." I started crying a little "then why don't you leave then? You just make moms life a living hell!" He pulled me away from the wall and tackled me down "you think your bad!? You think your bad huh!? Get out of this then." with every struggle his grip only tighten "where's mom?" I asked myself in my head I didn't care what was happening to me cuz I know how he gets with mom. Turned out he slapped her so hard he knocked her out. I eventually got out of his grip by elbowing him in his stomach, I tried to get away but he got me. He picked me up and took me up to my room throwing me to my bed. He threw me to hard though, the back of my head hit the wall hard. Everything with black for a second and there he was standing in front of me saying bad stuff about my mom. I stood back up and yelled "don't you say that about mom!" He pinned down on top of the bed and slapped my face repeatedly. I don't remember what happened after I just woke up. My arms hurt, face felt like like hell. I walked to my moms room just across the hall "mom..are you ok?" She wasn't in there. "Mom! Where are you!?" I checked everything room and she was no where. I ran down stairs to get the phone and call the cops but I noticed the front door was wide open and I could see blinking lights outside, as I got closer I could see some people. Just when I walked outside a lady runs to me "sweetheart are you ok?" I nodded "where's my mom?" The lady said that she was in the ambulance and she took me to her.  There she was my mom sitting there with those things that check your blood pressure as another person put a big band aid on her knee. She got it worse...my poor mom...why stay with someone who hurt you. A cop walked up to me and asked "hey there kid. Can I ask you some questions about your dad?" I nodded "yes sir" he smiled and took me back inside my house. We sat in the living room were it all happened, "now don't worry I'm not going to ask you any hard questions ok" he told me and I nodded. The first question was what happened when I got home and I told him everything. He asked me if my dad smoked and drank in front of me I said "yes sir." He asked me to try and name the drugs he would use. I didn't know what they were called so I used the nicknames I had for them "the green leaf that makes your eyes red and the sugar that would make you go crazy." They asked me a little more questions and left. Mom and I were at the dinner table "pizza again mom?" I asked, she smiled softly "it's Me n Eds sweetie." I smiled back "you know that's my favorite pizza in the world!"
I never really saw my dad after that I mean when went to jail for awhile but after that I never seen him and my mom found a boyfriend who loved her so much and loved me like a daughter, me and mom were finally happy. A year after I was in the sixth grade and me and Ruby got most of the same classes again but except for one' fourth period she had art and I had band. Turned out she lived just down the street from my house so I'd walk her after school. One day she forgot her sweater "damn it's so cold out here!" She yelled out, I laughed "your always cold ya dork."  She softly punched my shoulder "what ever" I smiled and stopped, I took my backpack off and pulled my sweater off. She looked at me "uhh Jade what are you doing?" I put my sweater over her "there we go. All warmed up now huh? Haha." She looked at me "are you gonna be cold though?" I shook my head. "Don't worry about me." After that we looked at each other for what felt like a long time and I felt something. Something I never felt before. I got lost in her hazel brown eyes. My heart was beating fast. I shook my head again. " oh hey look it's your house." I said a little shaky. She said a bit shaky too "y-yeah haha umm we'll see you tomorrow." I smiled again, "yeah tomorrow see you...I mean..." she laughed at me " oh Jade you always jumble your words. Oh your sweater!" I smiled "nah give it back tomorrow. Anyways, see ya!"  I ran home thinking "did the same thing happen to Ruby too?"

When I got home a took a deep breath and held the door nob tight and I opened it. Something smelled like cookies and not any cookies moms home made chocolate chip cookies! I smiled "I'm home!" It was quite for a second but then "welcome home sweetheart. Come to the living room Daniel and I have a surprise for you." When I went into the living room they were sitting on the couch smiling "how was school Jade?" My step father asked "it was..weird." "Well that sounds normal." He laughed "but hey your mom and I got you some presents today." I just raised a eye brow and looked at my mom "but it's not my birthday. Or Christmas." My mom just smiled "I know sweetie but we just felt like getting you some gifts." I sat next to them grabbing two boxes, a big one and a little one. Daniel told me "open the big one first"  I put the small one down unwrapping the Batman wrapping paper, when I finished I find a brand new X Box "woah! Cool!" My mom told me to opened the box and inside were two new video games . The Deadpool game and the Batman: Arkham City game. "Guys this is so cool! Thank you!" I hugged both of them tight and smiled my mom laughed "you haven't even opened up the small one." "Oh yeah!" I opened it to find a little stuffed baby bear, I held it in my hand clueless for a minute "...wait..." I tighten my grip on it "does this mean what I think this means?...am I going to be a older sister?" They both smiled and nodded "yes. We're gonna be a bigger family." That day I found out I was gaining feelings for Ruby and found out that I was gonna be a sister was
The best day ever.
